An orthopedic device is provided for treating complications of the hip and has means for trochanter compression, pelvis support, lumbar compression, variously directed straps, and thigh support. The trochanter compression and an internal/external rotation strap provide pain relief through compression and skin protection, unloading of joints through compression and sealing, and unloading by load transfer. Means for adjustably dosing of straps enables pain management and ease of use.

An interface system in an exoskeleton includes a base support, a strap assembly, and posterior strut. The posterior strut has a vertical member defining a lower end connecting to the base support, and an upper end connecting to first and second transverse members extending in opposed directions from the vertical member. The first and second transverse members connect to the strap assembly. The interface system is adapted to receive and support an assistive device adapted to augment a user's performance and mitigate repetitive strain injuries.

An orthopedic device has various frame elements concealed by a sleeve defining pockets into which such frame elements are located. A body interface comprises a panel, and a lumbar support and may be configured to attach to an exoskeleton such as a leg/hip assist mechanism. The body interface has an adjustable tension provided by either a tensioning device or by the properties of materials in the panel and the lumbar support. Tension in the body interface allows the lumbar support to comfortably and dynamically contact a user's body while the panel cooperates with the leg/hip assist mechanism. First and second arms may extend from lateral portions of the panel to define with first and second belt members a circumference around the user.

An orthopedic device includes a frame, a strap system including first and second straps connecting to the frame, and an adjustment mechanism couples to the first and second straps and simultaneously regulates tension in the first and second straps by moving the first and second straps relative to the frame. An orthopedic device includes a first panel defining opposed first and second sides. A second panel has a first end secured to the first side of the first panel along a seam between upper and lower corners of the seam, and a second end defining at least one flap securable to the second side of the first panel at a location site. A first strap has a first end secured to the first side of the first panel and extends from an upper portion of the seam including the upper corner of the seam and overlies at least a portion of the second panel. A dynamic force strap helically extends between upper and lower portions of the orthopedic device and connects to the first panel.

Orthopedic device for treating osteoarthritis of the knee

An orthopedic device comprises a hip plate, a first strut defining an anatomical curvature between first and second ends, and a second strut having a first end slidably received by the hip plate. A hinge couples the first and second struts to one another at the first end of the first strut and the second end of the second strut, and is arranged to provide adjustable abduction ranging from a plurality of angles. A thigh cuff connects to the second end of the first strut.
