The present invention discloses a system and method for providing privacy to a client accessing a chat application on a chat server via the Internet wherein a request is transmitted for a chat application from a client to a first proxy server. The request is forwarded from the first proxy server to a second proxy server. In response to the receipt of the request at the second proxy server, a unique ID is forwarded back to the first proxy server and the request along with the unique ID are forwarded on to the chat server. A response to the request is transmitted from the chat server back to the second proxy server along with the originally provided unique ID. The response and unique ID are stored within the second proxy server and may be accessed form the first proxy server by providing the unique ID.

System and method for securing privacy of chat participants

A system and method for contacting the origin server from a user comprises the steps of generating a minimal user profile for the user that is stored at a node associated with the user, said minimal user profile containing user designated CPI. A connection is established from the node to an origin server using the minimal user profile, and a determination is made if the privacy profile of the origin server meets the privacy preferences of the user. If so, a second user profile containing a more detailed CPI is provided to the origin server.

Method for limiting conveyance information of user profile within mobile Internet transactions

A method for obtaining a digital signature is disclosed. Upon receipt of request for a digital signature within a customer computer, a Mobile electronic transaction proxy within the customer PC notifies a web browser of the request for the digital signature and assists in obtaining a digital signature on a data string included within the request. After the digital signature is obtained, the data string along with an appended digital signature is transmitted back to a requesting party.
