A process for associating a scent with a laundry article including the steps of: providing a fluid pervious substrate carrying a perfume on, within, or at least partially enclosed by the substrate; placing the substrate in proximity to a partially saturated laundry article within a container or pile; transferring the laundry article and the substrate from the container or the pile into a washing machine; and washing the laundry article together with the substrate.

A rinse-added fabric treatment composition having a rinse aid increases the rinse capacity of an aqueous rinse bath solution for removing laundry residue from laundered fabrics. When properly diluted in water, the rinse-added fabric treatment composition provides a rinse bath solution having a rinsing capacity of greater than 1. In addition, a rinse-added fabric treatment composition reduces the surfactant residue on a fabric, and includes from about 0.05% to about 10% of a residue reduction agent, a suds suppresser, and the balance adjunct ingredients. The residue reduction agent is selected from a cationic residue reduction agent, a zwitterionic residue reduction agent, and a combination thereof. Moreover, methods for reducing surfactant residue on fabric and a method for reducing the amount of water used in a rinsing step of a laundry process are included. A kit for improving the rinsing capacity of water includes a rinse-added fabric treatment composition and an instruction set.

Actively curing the coating composition on the hard surfaces, including, but not limited to by radiative heating the air surrounding the hard surface with the coating thereon can be used to increase the durability of the hard surface coating.

Long lasting coatings for modifying hard surfaces and processes for applying the same

The present invention relates to a system and method for cleaning and/or treating a surface, preferably surfaces such as ceramic, steel, plastic, glass and/or painted surfaces such as the exterior surface of a vehicle. In one embodiment, the method forms a transparent, hydrophilic coating on the surface of a vehicle. This embodiment of the method includes the steps of: (a) providing a vehicle having at least some surfaces that are at least one of the following: cured painted surfaces, cured clearcoat surfaces, and glass surfaces; (b) applying a non-photoactive nanoparticle coating composition to such surfaces; and (c) allowing the coating composition to dry on such surfaces before the surfaces are contacted by water.
