A display device includes a substrate, a plurality of pixels above the substrate, each of the pixels including a light emitting element, a display region including the plurality of pixels, a thin film transistor which each of the plurality of pixels includes, a protective film including a first inorganic insulating material and located between the thin film transistor and the light emitting element, a sealing film including a second inorganic insulating material and covering the light emitting element, and at least one through hole located in the display region and passing through the substrate, the protective film, and the sealing film, wherein the second inorganic insulating material is in direct contact with the protective film in a first region located between the through hole and the pixels.

A display device according to an embodiment of the present invention has a first substrate, a display region provided with a plurality of pixels on the first substrate, each of the plurality of pixels including a light-emitting element, a driving circuit provided along a first direction of the display region on the first substrate, a sealing film covering the display region, and stacking a first inorganic insulating layer, an organic insulating layer, and a second inorganic insulating layer in order from the light-emitting element, a second substrate on the sealing film, a through hole provided in the first substrate, the display region, and the second substrate; and a first region surrounding the through hole.

Display device having notch or through hole

A display device includes an electroluminescent layer laminated on pixel electrodes and a multifunctional electrode and a common electrode laminated on the electroluminescent layer. The electroluminescent layer includes a lower common layer that continuously overlaps and contacts the pixel electrodes and the multifunctional electrode and light emitting layers separated from each other corresponding to each of the pixel electrodes on the lower common layer. The multifunctional electrode includes portions each passing between a pair of adjacent pixel electrodes of the pixel electrodes, and is set to a potential closer to that of the common electrode than the pixel electrodes in an image display period, and at least a part of the multifunctional electrode functions as at least one electrode group of a transmission electrode group and a reception electrode group in a touch sensing period.

A display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a display panel; a touch sensor located on the display panel; and a pointer made of a conductive material that moves on a region where the touch sensor is provided below the touch sensor; wherein the pointer is electrically connected to a lower electrode of the touch sensor.

A display device in an embodiment according to the present invention includes a base member, a display part with a plurality of pixels above the base member, a touch sensor overlapping the display part, an antenna in a periphery part of the display part, and a terminal part including a plurality of terminal electrodes on an outer side of the antenna. The touch sensor includes a first sensor electrode arranged on a first surface side of a first insulating layer and having a plurality of first electrode patterns arranged in a first direction, and a second sensor electrode arranged on the first surface side of the first insulating layer and having a plurality of second electrode patterns arranged in a second direction intersecting the first direction.

There is provided a display device including a pixel array portion including a plurality of pixels disposed in a matrix, a bending portion disposed at least outside the pixel array portion and to be bent, a peripheral circuit connected to the pixel array portion via the bending portion, the peripheral circuit for generating a signal to be supplied to the pixels, and a sealing film disposed avoiding the bending portion, the sealing film for preventing invasion of water particles into the pixel array portion and the peripheral circuit.

The purpose of the present invention is to realize a reliable bendable organic EL display device with high reliability. The structure of the invention is as follows. An organic EL display device comprising: pixels, each of the pixels has an emitting layer, which is sandwiched by a lower electrode and an upper electrode, a first inorganic protective film is formed on the emitting layer, the first inorganic protective film is circle or polygon having at least five sides, in a plan view.

Provided is a display device including a pixel. The pixel has: a conductive film; an interlayer insulating film over the conductive film; a first electrode over the interlayer insulating film; an insulating film over the first electrode; an organic layer over the first electrode and the insulating film; and a second electrode over the organic layer. The interlayer insulating film has a first opening portion overlapping with the conductive film. The insulating film covers the first opening portion. A first region of the organic layer in contact with the first electrode surrounds the insulating film. An area defined by a periphery of the first region has at least two symmetry axes in a direction parallel to a surface of the substrate.

Provided is a display device including: a base material; a plurality of light-emitting elements located over a first surface of the base material and having an emission region; and a first trench located over a second surface of the base and overlapping with a non-emission region sandwiched between the emission regions of two adjacent light-emitting elements selected from the plurality of light-emitting elements. Alternatively, the display device includes: a base material; a plurality of pixels located over a first surface of the base material and having a light-emitting element; a first trench located over a second surface of the base material and overlapping with a region sandwiched between two adjacent pixels selected from the plurality of pixels; and a ridge located over the first surface of the base material, overlapping with the first trench, and consisting of the base material.
