Device for contact between a case bottom and cover of a closed housing

The present invention relates to a lock mechanism for data processing equipment. The lock mechanism can simultaneously switch the power supply on or off, lock or unlock the housing of the equipment, and lock or unlock a removable covering installed over a drive assembly. The lock mechanism has a leafspring to produce self-retaining and positively-engaged final positions of a pivoted lever lock. Attached to the lever lock are a plurality of swivel arms arranged and located to perform the simultaneous functions mentioned above. Further, the lock mechanism includes a lock bolt biased closed by a compression spring and actuated by one of the swivel arms.

Lock mechanism for multi-component data processing equipment

Apparatus for guiding and holding printed circuit boards. For length and thickness compensation of printed circuit boards subject to length and thickness variations, the apparatus for guiding and holding printed circuit boards is essentially composed of a U-shaped rail having legs proceeding parallel to one another. The legs are oppositely corrugated along the rail. The legs are thereby fashioned such that the gap formed by them has a respective antinode at the rail ends. The legs are thereby connected only at the leg ends and at least at one of the antinodes lying therebetween, being connected by connecting webs that have retainer elements directed outward in the direction of the legs that may potentially be in an interactive connection with spring tongues.

Apparatus for guiding and holding printed circuit boards

A locking mechanism for data processing equipment includes a spring with a catch nose which is biased towards a locking position where it engages behind a shoulder and is lifted into an unlocking position against spring power either by a pivoted lever of a key-operated lock or, independently therefrom, by movement of one of the parts to be locked. An electrical locking and unlocking also occurs as the lever is moved into an unlocking position where it engages and operates a microswitch.

Lock mechanism for equipment of data processing technology

There is disclosed a paper transport device for printers. The device transports either single sheets or continuous paper through a printer in such a manner that switching between single sheet feed or continuous paper feed does not degrade print quality. When feeding single sheets, the platen determines the paper feed rate and is driven at a first circumferential speed. When feeding continuous paper, the platen is driven at a second and faster circumferential speed, which is slightly greater than the rate at which the paper tractor feeds the paper to the platen.

A line printer including a paper feeder channel disposed in the housing for the acceptance and feed of a recording medium to be printed is provided with an auxiliary paper feeder positionable on the paper feeder channel, whereby the auxiliary paper feeder is pivotally secured to the printer via a pivot pin. The pivot pin attachment contains a height adjustment device which lowers the auxiliary paper feeder over the paper feeder channel in its pivoted-in condition such that the feeder is aligned with respect to the channel and is supported on the printer.

A device is provided for guiding a print element of a printer device. The guide device comprises a guide bushing which is provided with two sliding surfaces and which is carried on a guide rail facing the platen. A support mount is engaged over the guide bushing and has a projection for fastening a traction device, such as a toothed belt, of a drive system. The support mount also has latch openings for receiving latch pieces for accurate positioning of the print element. The print element further comprises a fork-like guide projection to be received over and for sliding along a second guide rail. In order to fasten the print element to the guide bushing, a resilient snap-in clip is held constantly locked at the print element, the snap-in clip being pivotal so as to partially embrace the guide bushing and has projecting ends which are freely accessible for unlatching of the clip.

Device for guiding a print element

In one illustrated embodiment a generally conical locating member for a transducer head has a guide surface extending thereabout in successive turns of progressively increasing radius. In another embodiment two generally conical sections provide respective axially oppositely directed guide surfaces whose pitch runs in the same direction such that with head locating arms resiliently engaging the respective guide surfaces, the head is always positively locked with the angular position of the conical drive member. With a stepping motor drive, the guide surface or surfaces may comprise successive flat faces each having a tangential extent to compensate for maximum error in stepping angle. The conical members are made by injection molding for least possible cost.
