The invention relates to a method for treatment of a ballast track by means of track maintenance machine which comprises a lifting unit, having gripping rollers for gripping a track grid formed of rails and sleepers and lifting drives for lifting the track grid, and a measuring system for comparing to a target position of the track, wherein the lifting unit is set in vibration by means of a vibration exciter and the vibration is transmitted to the track grid, wherein the lifting unit is controlled by means of a control device in such a way that, during a lifting operation, the lifting unit is set in vibration, and the track grid is first lifted to above the target position and subsequently lowered to the target position. By means of the method according to the invention it is possible to carry out in a simple manner a lifting of the track grid with simultaneous stabilization of the track position.

Method and track maintenance machine for treatment of a ballast track

The invention relates to a tamping unit () for tamping sleepers () of a track (), having a tool carrier () mounted on an assembly frame () for vertical adjustment by means of a drive (), having pairs of two oppositely positioned tamping tools () which are squeezable towards one another about a respective pivot axis () as well as designed to be set in vibrations by a vibration drive (). In this, it is provided that a vibration drive () is associated with the drive (), the vibration drive setting the tamping tools in a vibration which is effective vertically.

Tamping unit and method for tamping sleepers of a track

A tamping machine for tamping a track has a lifting-lining unit, connected to lifting and lining drives, for shifting the track into a target position. A vibration generator, which can be set to vibrate, is disposed on the lifting-lining unit. It is thereby possible to tamp a track section in a first working pass and to lower it in a controlled way in an immediately following second working pass with constant impact of vertical load and vibration. Thereafter, the track can be traveled upon with normal speed entirely unhindered.

Tamping machine and method for correcting the position of a track

For tamping two adjacent sleepers () of a track (), the joint lowering of two adjoining tamping units () takes place with a time delay. As a result, the immersion in particular of immediately adjacent inner tamping tines () plunging into a common sleeper crib () is facilitated.
