A high pressure fuel pump encompasses at least one delivery chamber and one high pressure outlet. in addition, a pressure limiting valve with a valve that is actuated by a pressure differential is provided that can open from the high pressure outlet to the delivery chamber. On a high pressure side of a valve seat of the pressure limiting valve, it is advantageous that a throttle device is provided, whose free cross section is at most approximately equal to a desired maximum opening cross section of the pressure limiting valve.

In order to provide a seal arrangement for sealing between a first medium space filled with a first medium and a second medium space filled with a second medium which ensures reliable sealing between the medium spaces with very low leakage values even over a prolonged period of use, wherein said seal arrangement comprises a moveable component which is displaceable in the longitudinal direction thereof and/or rotatable about the longitudinal direction thereof and extends through the seal arrangement and wherein the seal arrangement comprises a sealing element which comprises a first sealing region that is sealing in relation to the first medium space and a second sealing region that is sealing in relation to the second medium space, wherein the first sealing region comprises a first dynamic sealing section abutting against the moveable component and the second sealing region comprises a second dynamic sealing section abutting against the moveable component and at least one of the two dynamic sealing sections has at least two sealing lips, it is proposed that each of the two sealing regions should comprise at least one respective spring element which biases the dynamic sealing section of the respective sealing region against the moveable component.

Sealing arrangement

A pump unit for a hydraulic vehicle brake system with traction control has an electric motor driving a radial piston pump. A rotor shaft of the pump unit has a hollow shaft with two standardized, hardened cylindrical pins that are press-fitted into the ends of the hollow shaft. The rotor shaft can be produced simply, economically, and without metal-cutting machining. The hollow shaft has high bending and torsional strength. The rotor shaft has a small diameter at the bearing points, which makes a small bearing diameter and thus a small installation space for the pump unit possible.

The invention relates to a piston pump, for instance for an electrohydraulic vehicle brake system. The invention proposes that a pump piston, on an end toward an eccentric element, be sealed off with a sealing ring, such as a quad ring, that has two axially spaced-apart sealing lips, which sealing ring has radial openings, and also proposes that interstices between the axially spaced-apart sealing lips be connected, through a fluid line, to a fluid supply container from which the piston pump aspirates fluid, or to a pump inlet, whereby in the event of a leak of a sealing lip, the piston pump will aspirate brake fluid through the fluid line and prevent the piston pump from aspirating air from the direction of an eccentric element.

Piston pump

A combination electric motor-pump unit which is installed on a body of a vehicle. The pump unit includes motor fastening screws with which the electric motor is fastened to the pump housing and which connect the pump unit to the vehicle body. This significantly reduces the number of required parts. The pump unit is provided for a brake system of a vehicle.

The invention relates to a piston pump for a vehicle brake system, in particular an electrohydraulic vehicle brake system. To improve the aspiration performance of the piston pump when the brake fluid is viscous at low the invention proposes a valve opening device, which compulsorily opens the inlet valve, embodied as a spring-loaded check valve, of the piston pump at the onset of a return stroke of the piston. The valve opening device has an opener pin, which is mounted on a valve ball of the inlet valve, and which at the end of a supply stroke of the piston enters a perforated, disklike valve opener part. At the onset of the return stroke, the valve opener part restrains the valve ball by frictional force at its opener pin and thereby opens the inlet valve.

An inexpensive hydraulic brake system for a vehicle including an antilock device, by means of which brake pressures in front wheel brakes and rear wheel brakes of a four-wheeled vehicle that are connected to diagonal brake circuits can be changed to a large extent independently of one another in order to reduce or eliminate the danger of wheel locking. The antilock device should have one return feed pump per brake circuit. The brake system is equipped with the antilock device with a total of six electrically controllable valves. In each of the brake circuits a first valve is disposed between the master cylinder and a front wheel brake and a second valve is disposed between the master cylinder and the rear wheel brake and a third valve is disposed between the front wheel brake and an inlet of each of the return feed pumps. The inlets of the return feed pumps are respectively connected indirectly to the rear wheel brakes by means of check valves, which can be opened in the direction of the inlets of the return feed pumps. The antilock device is inexpensively constructed and in antilock operation, for example on an icy road surface, rear wheel brake pressures can be higher than front wheel brake pressures in order to improve the braking action.

A piston pump for a hydraulic brake system for a vehicle with a slip control system. For economical production, the piston pump includes a piston as a composites part with a core of steel that is surrounded by a lubricant jacket of plastic. By way of example, the lubricant jacket is applied to the core by spray-coating, or is pressed onto the core or slipped onto the core. The lubricant jacket economizes by dispensing with expensive post-machining of the piston surface by grinding, for instance, and improves the sliding properties of the piston.

A damper unit in which a structural volume of the unit is reduced. The hydraulic unit includes a damper chamber formed by a stepped bore. A diameter-to-length ratio of the chamber is between 1:3 and 1:12. A closure element of the damper chamber is received with radial pressure in the bore and is retained on the discharge end by an embossed connection. The smaller-diameter portion of the damper chamber bore, when the hydraulic unit is in the position for use, is offset eccentrically upward from the larger-diameter bore portion with an at least approximately horizontally extending bore axis, so that the jackets of both bore portion merge at least approximately in alignment with one another at at least one point. The damper chamber is of slender design and intended to be disposed in a housing block of the hydraulic unit in a way that economizes on installation space and is intended to be simple to vent. The hydraulic unit is intended for use in slip-controlled motor vehicle brake systems.

A pump unit with a drive motor mounted onto a pump block which reduces noise problems which stem from clearance fits that are required in order to be able to mount the drive motor onto the pump block. A pump unit set forth eliminates clearance fits required for the perfect assembly of the pump unit by means of plastic introduced into the clearance fits. The pump unit is particularly provided for slip-controlled vehicle brake systems in motor vehicles.

The invention relates to a hydraulically actuated cutoff valve which is provided as an intake valve for switching between a master cylinder and an intake side of a feed pump of a slip-controlled vehicle brake system. The invention sets forth that the cutoff valve is embodied with a valve closing body that has a valve tappet which passes through an annular actuating element and is in engagement with a rocker element embodied as a cup spring, which rests on an annular pivot bearing. If the actuating element is acted upon by pressure, it presses down an outer edge of the rocker element, and as a result a middle of the actuating element executes a pivoting motion in the opposite direction that closes the cutoff valve. The invention has the advantage of an economical cutoff valve that has only a small number of components, and the invention can be used in a hydraulic vehicle brake system.

Hydraulically actuated stop valve and hydraulic brake system for a vehicle

The brake system has at least one brake circuit (I), in which a high-pressure pump is disposed. A self-aspirating charge pump is also provided, which is connected at least indirectly to the intake side of the high-pressure pump by an intake line of a supply container for brake fluid and by a pressure line. In the event of an inadequate supply of brake fluid by the charge pump, the pumping of air into the brake circuit (I) is intended to be precluded. To that end, a siphon is disposed in the intake line of the charge pump. Air aspirated by the siphon suddenly prevents pumping by the charge pump. The brake system is intended for use in motor vehicles with slip control or for automatic brakes.

The invention relates to a piston pump for a slip-controlled hydraulic vehicle brake system. For a compact structure of the piston pump, an inlet valve and outlet valve in the form of check valves be disposed in a valve bore at a tangent to a cylinder bore of the piston pump in a pump housing. Aside from the advantage of a compact, space-saving design, the invention has the advantage of a small idle volume and thus good efficiency of the piston pump.

Slip-controlled hydraulic vehicle brake system

The invention relates to a piston pump for a slip-controlled hydraulic vehicle brake system. The piston pump has a piston which is driven to execute a stroke motion, and two check valves as an inlet valve and outlet valve for controlling the fluid flow through the piston pump. The outlet valve has a valve closing spring that effects a fast closure of the outlet valve. To enable completely evacuating a positive displacement chamber of the piston pump, the invention includes connecting an evacuation valve, embodied as a springless check valve with a small diameter and with a lightweight valve closing body, hydraulically parallel to the outlet valve.
