Prior-art systems for drainage of body cavities, in particular renal cavity systems, have usually comprised of a flexible drainage tube (1) with at least one crooked end (11, 13), a tubular device, called a pusher (2), serving to push the drainage tube (1) into a body cavity, a distal end of which is connected in a separable way with a proximal end of the drainage tube (1), and a guide wire (3) passing through the drainage tube (1) and the pusher (2). Up to now, the separable connection consisted of either a predetermined break point or a wedge connection. Both solutions have been unsatisfactory. According to this invention, ends of a drainage tube (1) and a pusher (2), which are connected with each other, have parts (41, 42) of a lock (4) complementary to each other, which define sections (45, 46) overlapping each other and featuring facing sections fitted to each other which transmit axial traction forces and a torque. Sections (45, 46) are held in mesh by the guide wire (3) passing through them. Thereby, each part (41, 42) of the lock (4) has, at a spaced distance from its end, a transverse slot (43, 44), with the section (45, 46) defining or delimiting the transverse slot (43, 44) presenting on its periphery a flattening (47, 48) parallel to a slot base.

In a laryngeal tube for use in microsurgery in the region of the larynx, with simultaneous ventilation and anaesthesia, which, at its introduction end, is provided with a tube bearing an inflatable cuff, and which is also provided with an inflation channel terminating in the inside of the cuff, and also a ventilation channel terminating within the lumen of the tube, provision is made for the inflation channel (6) and the ventilation channel (7) to be connected together and stiffened.

Laryngeal tube

In a tube for the enteral introduction or aspiration of gases or liquids, in particular for the enteral alimentation of patients, a weighting means is affixed in the introduction end section, the said weighting means being formed of a capsule (8) which is insoluble in the stomach, but soluble in the region of the intestine. In this manner, the tubing forming the tube can be very thin.

Tube for enteral treatment

The invention relates to a method for the production of a medical instrument, in particular a tube or catheter, with a balloon made of an elastomeric and/or thermoplastic material, comprising the steps of providing an inflation line for the balloon on or in one hose section and applying thereafter the cuff-shaped balloon with its two ends closely fitting and overlapping one outlet of the said inflation line. To render the production economical, a coat (3) of a parting compound is applied to the hose section (1) in the area where the balloon (10) is to be formed, whereafter the hose is sheathed by extrusion with a sheathing coat (5) of a thermoplastic or elastomeric material.
