A headlight for a motor vehicle has a light module with at least one reflector and a light source, a first frame with which at least a part of the light module is connected, a first adjusting element for swivelling the first frame around a first swivel axis, a second frame in which the first frame is supported and which is turnable around a second swivel axis, a second adjusting element for swivelling the second swivel frame, a body-fixed frame support in which the second frame is supported, the frames being arranged so that the swivel axes extend perpendicular to one another and arranged in one plane, a base adjustment element for adjusting at least one of the frames around an adjusting axis which is aligned with one of the swivel axis.

The invention concerns a motor vehicle headlight with an ignition device ( ) for generating an ignition voltage for operating a light ( ). The headlight has a safety device for protection from injuries caused by electricity, wherein the ignition device ( ) comprises a housing ( ) for receiving the light ( ) and an ignition switch which can be connected to the light ( ) and terminals ( ) for electric connection of the ignition switch and the vehicle electrical system. The housing ( ) can be mounted to a base plate ( ). To improve safety of maintenance or mounting of the headlight, in particular to prevent injuries through contact with exposed electrically conducting parts where high voltages could be present, the use of a safety device is proposed which is disposed on the base plate and comprises means for mounting the housing , wherein the ignition device can be connected to the vehicle electrical system via the safety device only when the housing is mounted.

A light for a vehicle has a reflector, a light source, a light-permeable disk covering a light outlet opening, the reflector having a central region which surrounds the light source and a lateral region, the central region of the reflector having a lateral opening through which a light emitted by the light source can reach the lateral reflector region, the lateral reflector region having at least in one zone a plurality of stepped reflection profiles, the lateral reflector region having an upper edge and a lower edge, at least one reflection segment arranged near one of the edges so that a light emitted from the light source impinges on the reflection segment through the opening of the central reflection region, the reflection segment having a greater extension than the reflection profile at least in a horizontal direction.

A headlight-light unit for a vehicle comprises a headlight having a headlight housing with a headlight outlet opening and a headlight cover member covering the headlight outlet opening, a light adjoining the headlight and having a light housing with a light outlet opening and a light cover member closing the light outlet opening. The headlight cover member and the light cover member are formed as a single cover element, a frame-like element connecting the cover element with the headlight housing and having a portion which extends outwardly beyond the headlight housing and forms the light housing.

A headlight for a vehicle has a housing having a light outlet opening, a transparent light disc covering the light outlet opening, at least one reflector arranged in the housing and provided with a reflecting inner surface so that the reflector being turnable relative to the housing at least in a vertical plane, and a water level for controlling an inclined position of the reflector and visible through a part of the light disc from outside of the headlight. A headlamp for a power vehicle comprises a reflector mountable in a chassis and turnable for adjusting its inclination, a water level provided on the reflector for controlling its inclination, the water level having adjusting marks and being displaceable relative to the reflector for reflector specific fine adjustment, a support insertable in the reflector and receiving the water level, the water level having an outer side and provided on the outer side with a cover glass forming a part of an outwardly curved spherical surface, the water level being turnable in the support for fine adjustment about a vertical axis.

A reflector, made from a thermosetting plastic, has three tightening faces on its crown neck that act as a catch, into which three protrusions, such as pawls, dig in a thread-like manner with teeth of the ring. As a result, the ring secures an incandescent bulb in the reflector. By means of this unilaterally acting friction catch, lateral slides, in particular, become unnecessary on an injection holder of the reflector, which is a considerable advantage in the processing of thermosetting plastics.

Headlight for motor vehicles, especially road vehicles

In a vehicle headlight a lamp holder for holding a bulb in an apex opening of a reflector is formed with three axially extended locking arms having hooks insertable into the slots provided in the reflector. Each slot defines on the surface of the reflector a bearing surface having an insertion portion and an arresting portion. Each hook, upon pivoting of the lamp holder is inserted into the assigned slot and is engaged behind the arresting portion to arrest the lamp holder on the backside of the reflector.
