Headlight for a motor vehicle

A luminaire for a motor vehicle bodywork includes a light source configured to generate light beams, an optical waveguide configured to forward the light beams, and an optical sheet configured to emit the light beams. The optical sheet is arranged at an angle (&#x3b3;), which is greater than 0&#xb0;, with respect to the optical waveguide. A contact is formed between the optical waveguide and the optical sheet. The optical waveguide is configured to transfer the light beams onto the optical sheet. The light beams are guided into the optical sheet with the aid of at least one light guiding element via the contact.

A lamp for a motor vehicle body includes a light source configured to generate light beams; a reflector configured to deflect and reflect the light beams; and an optical plate configured to scatter reflected light beams and non-reflected light beams. The reflector includes a first partial region and a second partial region for generating different brightness levels. The first partial region of the reflector is configured to be reflection-free.

An application arrangement for motor vehicles includes a light face having a surface that is at least one of light-emitting or light-reflecting so as to emit and/or reflect light in a planar fashion. A transparent cover panel is assigned to the surface and forms an external face of the application arrangement. A headlamp for vehicles has at least one illumination device with one or more light-emitting diodes and with an optical system that is disposed in the light exit area and focuses the light of the light-emitting diodes for a forward lighting of the vehicle. At least one cooling body is provided for dissipating the heat output by the light-emitting diode, and the cooling body contains a number of cooling ribs. To configure the light cone, the cooling body is disposed in the optical axis of the light exit area of the light-emitting diodes between the light-emitting diodes and the optical system, at least the tip of a cooling rib of the cooling body is located at the focal point between the light-emitting diode and the optical system.
