A method and device for conveying and grouping products by supplying the products in a first conveying direction on a track by a first conveying device, wherein the products are located one behind another at arbitrary spacings; grouping the products on the track by a grouping device so that a defined number of products are arranged at defined spacings one behind another in a formed product group on the track behind the grouping device in the conveying direction; and transferring the formed product group to a second conveying device for forwarding in a second conveying direction so that the products maintain their relative alignment at the defined spacings with respect to one another in the formed product group and are essentially located side by side in a row. In a multiple-track embodiment, a product matrix is formed from several product groups which are located side by side.

Method and device for conveying and grouping fragmented products

A method and a device are created according to the invention for conveying piece products on one or several tracks, which are arranged side by side and substantially parallel to one another, in such a manner that the products are conveyed further having been separated out from a product stream into singles on each of the tracks and then aligned at uniform spacings and/or in groups. In this case, the products are first of all fed on each track as a single-row product stream on a first conveying device at a first speed. The products are then transferred to a second conveying device, which is arranged in the conveying direction of the products behind the first conveying device and receives the products and conveys them further at a second speed which is faster than the first speed, wherein the respectively frontmost product in the product stream is accelerated when being transferred from the first conveying device to the second conveying device and, as a result, by a gap being formed in the conveying direction, is separated off from the product stream. Finally, the separated products are aligned at exactly the precise moment in time and space in the conveying direction on the second conveying device by means of an entrainment device, wherein the entrainment device cooperates with the separated product and is moved forward in the conveying direction at a speed which is proportionate to the second speed in such a manner that the entrainment device brakes the separated product or conveys it further at the second speed or accelerates it.

Method and device for conveying piece products

A conveying and separating method and a device for separating sheet-shaped objects, for example preliminary chewing-gum products or intermediate chewing-gum products in the form of chewing-gum sheets, into strip-shaped or slab-shaped object sub-units. The conveying and separating method and device for separating sheet-shaped objects preferably separates sub-units one after another from each of the sheet-shaped objects at at least one weakened region on each of the sheet-shaped objects by a conveying and separating device that preferably has a revolving conveyor belt with suction elements that can be activated and deactivated. The suction elements pick up, hold, and convey the sheet-shaped object when the suction element is activated and release the sub-units when the suction element is deactivated.

Method and device for separating sheet-shaped objects into strip-shaped or slab-shaped object sub-units

The invention relates to a method and a device for producing and packing individual strip-type objects, especially strips of chewing gum, comprising the following method steps and features: provision of rectangular sheets from which the strips are to be formed, the length of the shorter sides of the sheets corresponding to the length of a strip to be formed; formation of individual strips from the sheets provided; packing of the formed individual strips using a first packaging material; formation of a group of the individual packed strips; and packing of the formed group of strips using a second packaging material. The step of providing the sheets comprises the following additional method steps and features: creation of grooves in the sheets, said grooves extending parallel to the shorter sides of the sheets; and controlled supply of the individual sheets successively in the longitudinal direction thereof to the following step of forming the individual strips, in such a way that each sheet adjoins the respective previous sheet in a precise position, without gaps and without back pressure. The step of forming the individual strips comprises the following additional method steps and features: respective separation of an individual strip from the sheet on the front end thereof in the direction of transport by tearing along the respectively frontmost produced groove such that the supplied sheet and the separated strip are in the same plane; and acceleration of the separated strip in the direction of transport in order to create a gap between the individual successive strips.

Method and device for packing strip-type objects, especially strips of chewing gum

A tray loading packaging machine that carries out a method for filling a multi-row packaging tray with piece-form products at a high performance level, having the following steps: dividing up a single-row stream of piece-form products onto a plurality of lanes arranged substantially parallel to one another in order to convey the products further; synchronizing the individual streams of products on the plurality or lanes with one another such that in each case one product from one lane can be transferred to the packaging tray substantially at the same time as in each case one product from the other lanes; and transferring the produces to the packaging tray, wherein in each case one product from one lane is transferred to one row of the packaging tray.

Method and apparatus for filling a multi-row packaging tray with piece-form products

The invention creates a single-track or multiple-track device and a corresponding method for conveying lumpy products in such a way that the products are separated from a product stream on each of the tracks and are subsequently conveyed further spaced apart uniformly and/or in groups. For this purpose, arrangements for supplying the products as a single-row product stream are provided in each track as well as arrangements for discharging the separated products distanced from one another in a row, wherein the products are transferred from the supplying arrangements to the discharging arrangements. Arrangements for conveying the products are provided in each track in the area of the transfer from the supplying arrangements to the discharging arrangements and have driver arrangements, which are mounted so as to be pivotable in a controlled manner in the conveying direction of the products and which intervene between two successive products in the supplied product stream in such a way that said arrangements guide the products during the transfer from the supplying arrangements to the discharging arrangements in such a way that the products are separated from the product stream and are conveyed further at uniform distances from one another and/or in groups, and are discharged, in a controlled manner in each case. The multiple-track conveying device additionally comprises arrangements for controlling the conveying devices in the tracks, such that the product streams on the tracks are synchronized with one another in such a way that a product on a track, following the separation from the respective product stream, is substantially aligned with the products on individual selected other tracks or all of the other tracks, such that the products on the tracks in question are arranged side by side substantially in a row in a direction perpendicular or at an incline to the conveying direction of the products.

Device and method for conveying lumpy products

A method and a device for conveying strip-shaped or plate shaped products utilizing the following steps and features: supply the products out of a continuously operating device to the conveying device; convey the products in succession in the conveying device; and transfer the products from the conveying device to a device for further processing. When the device for the further processing of the products is not ready for operation the products are store, then discharged when the device for the for the further processing of the products is ready for operation. Additionally, the products supplied into the conveying device is discharged out of the conveying device when the device for the further processing of the products is not ready for operation, the products are not able to be transferred to the further processing device, and when the storage device is completely filled with products.

Method and device for conveying strip- or plate-shaped products

A method and apparatus used for packaging flat products in a plurality of trays. According to the method, individual trays are picked from a stack of trays by a suitable device. Several products are fed to a conveyor belt so that they lay flat and one behind the other on the conveyor belt. These products are picked individually one after the other from the conveyor belt and placed into the individual trays. The trays that are filled with the products are delivered on a second conveyor belt for packaging or wrapping. The method and apparatus also facilitate the placement of products in the trays in different arrangements.

A method and a device are specified for feeding, arranging and distributing articles on a conveyor and for inserting the articles in receptacles, particularly for articles which are identical or similar to each other (monoproducts). The system involved is flexible and cost-effective in operation, with which articles of differing shape and size can be processed without any substantial alteration of its components.
