Switch-over device for a filling station, and a gas filling station

A pressure limiting valve includes an inlet and an outlet for a fluid, which includes a valve body which cooperates with a valve seat in such a manner that it opens or closes a flow connection for the fluid between the inlet and the outlet when a limiting pressure is reached. The valve also includes a spring element which acts on the valve body and loads the latter. A container for a liquid is provided which is arranged and designed in such a manner that through its thermal expansion, the liquid varies the loading of the valve body which is caused by the spring element, and thus varies the limiting pressure in dependence on the temperature of the liquid.

The invention embraces a method of tanking or filling of motor vehicles with natural gas and also an apparatus for operating the method of the invention. The motor vehicle includes a tank apparatus (2) with a pressure container (19). A tanking plant (1) includes a storage unit (3) for natural gas, a delivery device (5) and also a connection line (14) which can be connected to the tank device (2). The delivery device (5) includes a control and measuring device (5a), a regulating device (5b) and also an input and output device (5c). The control and measuring device (5a) has a regulating valve (7), a mass throughflow measuring device (8) and also a pressure sensor (9), with these three components being so controlled from the governing regulating device (5b) that the pressure container (19) is filled in a short period of time with natural gas.

A refuelling equipment (7) may be connected via an adjustable loading valve (30) to three groups of intermediate stores (4, 5, 6) in which natural gas is stored at different storage pressures. The loading valve (30) contains three inlets, each of which is connected via a feedline (13a, 14a or 15a respectively) to one of the intermediate stores (4, 5 or 6 respectively), and one outlet which is connected via an outlet line (24) to the refuelling equipment (7). The loading valve (30) further contains a cyclically adjustable valve body (31) which may be switched respectively from a first blocking position blocking all of the inlets, into a first flow position connecting the supply line (13a) to the outlet line (24), past a second blocking position into a second flow position connecting the supply line (14a) to the outlet line (24) and past a third blocking position into a third flow position connecting the supply line (15a) to the outlet line (24) and finally in the same direction of rotation back into the first blocking position. During each refuelling process the refuelling equipment (7) is accordingly directly connected first to the intermediate store at the lowest storage pressure, then to the intermediate store (5) at the middle storage pressure and finally to the intermediate store (6) at the highest storage pressure.

Installation for refuelling a mobile pressure vessel with a gaseous fuel

A compressor (1) can be connected on the suction side via a suction line (7) provided with an inlet valve (16) to a natural gas line (9) and on the pressure side via an intake line (12) to the gas fuel tank (13) and is also connected via a relief line (10) to a relief valve (11) and a pressure control valve. (25), with said valves being disposed in a pressurized tank (4). This tank is connected to the suction side of the compressor (1) and the outlet sides of the inlet valve (16) and of the relief valve (11) and also with an outlet line (18) via a safety valve (20), which can be set at a predetermined opening pressure of 2 to 3 bar, for example. The pressurized tank (4), is designed with a cover (5) constructed as a support part, on which the compressor (1) is mounted. The compressor (1) can be coupled via a vertical drive shaft (2) with a motor (3) disposed inside the pressurized tank (4). This arrangement permits a simple design of the pressurized tank (4) and a compact construction of ,the appliance, which is particularly intended for refueling motor vehicles.

Device for refueling a gaseous fuel tank

The gas refuelling device for a motor vehicle comprises a compressor unit, a gas distributor unit and a control unit inside a housing and an external operating unit. At least one temperature sensor and one pressure sensor deliver measured values to the control unit, which has stored set values which are adapted to the changing environmental and operating conditions. When actual values deviate from their set values, the operating state of the gas refuelling device is altered. The operating states are selected such that the device closes down if there are serious incorrect manipulations or components fail and can only be made ready for operation again with auxiliary devices.

Gas refuelling device and method of refuelling a motor vehicle

The vessel comprises a part having an end portion which is introducible into a second vessel part and which has a cylindrical outside surface formed with an annular recess. The second vessel part has a connecting part having a cylindrical inside surface formed with a recess in the form of an annular groove and having a connecting duct which extends from the outside into the recess tangentially. When the two casing parts are in a connected position the two recesses bound a guide duct for a flexible closure part which is made, for example, of a steel string or cord or the like and which is introduced through the connecting duct into the guide duct to interconnect the two casing parts and withdrawn from the guide duct to release the two casing parts (1, 1a, 2a). The vessel is of use, particularly in association with a facility for filling a gas fuel tank, as a pressure-resistant casing for control and/or switching elements and can be opened with reduced manual intervention for the inspection and servicing of the latter components and closed reliably.

The apparatus for introducing a yarn or the like into the yarn catch slot of an empty bobbin tube during the changeover operation from a full bobbin to an empty bobbin at an automatic yarn winder, comprises a yarn deflector, formed of sheet metal for instance, which is provided with cutouts. Each cutout serves for deflecting an associated yarn out of an imaginary plane extending through a yarn ridge. In order to ensure that the yarn, which is still arriving at the yarn ridge of the full bobbin during the changeover operation can be infed within the imaginary plane through the yarn ridge and at the same time can extend in the plane through the yarn catch slot, the yarn is pulled by a displaceable yarn entrainment member over a curved portion of the associated cutout and deviated or deflected at the associated yarn entrainment hook.

The filling device houses a compressor which is connected via a suction line comprising an inlet shut-off valve to a source of gaseous fuel, and is adapted to be connected to a gaseous-fuel container via a supply line equipped with a pressure-limiting valve and a discharge valve. The inlet valve and the discharge valve are connected to a control device which together with the pressure-limiting valve, the discharge valve and, if required, the inlet valve is disposed in a pressure-resistant casing connected to a discharge line leading away from the device. The control device is adapted to be influenced in dependence on control signals from a temperature sensor detecting the environmental temperature, a pressure sensor detecting the pressure at which the compressor is supplied, and a pressure-difference sensor disposed in front of the inlet valve and detecting the difference between the pressure in the suction line and in the casing. This device enables the supply pressure to be automatically adapted to the environmental temperature, and prevents uncontrolled escape to gaseous fuel near the filling device.

Logic signals corresponding to a detected thread break and/or thread loop in a package being wound on a bobbin are evaluated within a logic circuit to communicate the quality of a thread package. The logic signals can be processed in various ways. In one embodiment, discrimination is made of repeated logic signals produced by a single thread break. In another embodiment, the total number of logic signals are counted. Blocking arrangements can be provided to block logic signals caused by the same thread break or thread loop.

Method of monitoring the quality of a package of thread

The monitor is spaced a small distance from the curved path of the travelling thread to sense defects in the thread. In one embodiment, the monitoring means is spaced from the winding surface of a chuck to sense broken threads or an accurate build-up of the thread package. The monitoring means includes a detector head with a charge collector rod for sensing changes in electrical potential of the rod due to contact with a travelling thread part. The monitoring means can be moved away from the chuck to maintain a constant distance from the thread package being wound on a bobbin tube on the chuck.

Package quality monitor

The controlled magnetic bearing arrangement supports a rotatable shaft and contains an electronic control circuit. The shaft is floatingly supported in the bearing arrangement by magnets controlled by the electronic control circuit and the stiffness of the shaft is thereby adjustable. The shaft may constitute a package support shaft in a winding device of a spinning machine and has a free end for permitting the axial exchange of bobbin tubes and packages. This arrangement provides the advantages of attaining very high rotational speeds for the package support shaft and the possibility of varying the stiffness of such package support shaft and thus the critical rotational speeds. The regions of the critical rotational speeds can be passed through in a safe manner.
