An injection module comprises a housing (), inside of which an actuator element () and an injection valve are arranged. The actuator element () is designed for controlling the injection valve by a setting stroke. A compensating element () is provided that is connected to the actuator element () in order to compensate for the change in length of the housing () caused by thermal expansion.

Injection module

A tendency of the controlled load to oscillate when controlling a capacitive load can be avoided according to a piezo actuator for an injection valve of an internal combustion engine, having charging and discharging processes for charging and discharging the capacitive load by means of a load current, each loading process being effected by chronological partial load current pulses according to chronological partial charging capacity pulses (p, p, . . . pn), wherein the envelope (E) of the partial charging capacity pulses (p, p, . . . pn), during the loading process, increases in a strictly monotonous manner in an initial phase, and the slope of the envelope decreases in a monotonous manner.

Method and device for controlling a capacitive load

In an actuator unit, the piezo actuator () is located inside a tubular spring () under pre-stress. To compensate the thermal length modifications of the piezo actuator () in relation to the actuator housing (), the compensation element is configured as an aluminium compensation cylinder () that is situated in an extension tube (). The piezo actuator () and the compensation cylinder () are mounted in series and conjointly pre-stressed by means of the tubular spring () that is extended in relation to the actuator housing by the extension tube ().

When a drive command (S*) is input by a control circuit (), a drive signal (S) can be emitted to a piezoelectric actuator (Pi) by a drive circuit (), with the result that the piezoelectric actuator (Pi) is changed over from a zero position to a drive position. When a correction command (I, I) is input by the control circuit (), a correction signal (I, I) can be emitted to the piezoelectric actuator (Pi) by a correction circuit (), with the result that the piezoelectric actuator (Pi) is changed over from the zero position to a correction position. The input of the drive command (S*) and the input of the correction command (I, I) are interlocked with respect to one another.

A device for transferring a thrust, a fuel injection valve with such a device, and a method for manufacturing such a thrust transferring device. To transfer the thrust of an actuator, especially in an injection valve, mechanical tappets are used, which have substantially the shape of a cylinder whose defining surfaces are substantially triangular, with the corners rounded. By the great width of the tappet, broad contact areas are created so that friction during the transfer is reduced.

A control valve for an injection valve for injecting fuel into an internal combustion engine is described. The injection valve has a control chamber which is connected via an inlet throttle to a high-pressure accumulator, and which can be connected via the control valve and an outlet throttle to an unpressurized return line to a fuel tank. The pressure prevailing in the control chamber acts on a movable nozzle body which is provided with a nozzle needle which releases and seals injection holes as the nozzle body moves. The control valve is constructed adjoining the control chamber, with the result that the pressure prevailing in the control chamber at a first operating surface also acts on the valve body of the control valve. The control valve has a valve chamber which is disposed opposite the control chamber and is connected to the control chamber via the outlet throttle and has a second operating surface, which is smaller than the first operating surface.
