A tilt control method includes a tilt control step for automatic control of the tilt (&#x3b1;) of a tilt device () by at least one electronic tilt sensor () based on gravitational force (G) and by a tilt control device (), and a sensor test step which is carried out automatically at a test initiation signal, and in case of a malfunction, supplies an error signal (&#x398;) which prevents the tilt control step from being carried out.

A constructional laser including a housing (3) with a light source located inside the housing for emitting a visible laser beam rotatable about a rotational axis, a base plate (11) attached to the housing (3) and provided with an inner thread (25) approximately in a center of the base plate (11), and two handles (12, 13) for lifting and carrying the laser and connected to the base plate (11) with the two handles (12, 13) being spaced from opposite sides of the housing (3) and extending at a right angle from the base plate (11) parallel to a height of the housing (3) toward an upper surface (4) of the housing (3), with the handles (12, 13) having at sides thereof remote from the housing (3), three servo positioners (14, 15, 16), with two of the servo positioners (14, 15) being provided on one handle (12) and with the third, height-adjustable servo positioner (16) being arranged on another handle (13), the three-point arrangement of the servo positioners (14, 15, 16) defining an isosceles triangle, with the connection lines between the three forming lateral side(s) of the isosceles triangle.

Apparatus (1) for applying marks to surfaces, such as walls and ceilings, particularly for use in home and building construction, includes a photoelectric detector device (21-25) for detecting bundled light signals from a light source, such as a laser, arranged at a distance from the surface to be marked. A signal-generating positioning aid (27-28) cooperates with the detector arrangement (21-25) for enabling a user of the apparatus to position it on the surface based on the detected light signals. In addition, the apparatus includes a marking device for applying a mark to the surface when the apparatus is correctly positioned.

An apparatus for locating magnetizable material (5, 6) within a structure (4) includes a scanning head (1) with a permanent magnet (28) for producing a magnetic field in the structure (4). Two field plates (30, 31), adjacent one another on only one pole face of the permanent magnet (28), are interconnected by a differential circuit and measure the magnetic field of the magnet disturbed by the magnetizable material (5, 6). The differential values measured by the pair of field plates form a differential measured signal for establishing, after differentiation, the location of the magnetizable material (5, 6) within the structure (4). The location of the magnetizable material (5, 6) within the structure can be shown on a monitor (7) of an evaluation unit (3).

In securing an anchor in a borehole in a receiving material, a settable hydraulic dowel compound is introduced into the borehole either before, during or after the placement of the anchor member. The dowel compound includes an expandable component. The diameters of the borehole and the anchor member are selected so that an annular gap extends around the anchor member with the gap having a maximum area of 200 mm.sup.2. The expandable component ensures an increase in the volume of the dowel component above the initial volume in a free expansion procedure.

A dowel assembly to be anchored in a borehole in a receiving material includes a container positioned around the axis of the borehole and located between an abutment at one end of the dowel assembly and the receiving material into which the assembly is inserted. The container is formed of two parts with one part being telescopically displaceable into the other. An hydraulic mass capable of expanding when mixed with a reaction liquid is filled into the container. The expandable hydraulic mass maintains the force acting on the dowel assembly when there is relaxation of the force originally generated between the dowel assembly and the receiving material. The container has openings through which the reaction liquid can pass into contact with the hydraulic mass. The hydraulic mass can be activated by immersing the container in water.

Means for maintaining axial stress on a dowel assembly

A manually guided motorized hand tool used for drilling and/or percussive drilling includes a housing with a mass movably mounted about the drilling axis for movement relative to the housing. A switch is mounted on the housing and is operable by the mass when it moves a certain angular distance relative to the housing. When operated, the switch cuts off the power supply to the hand tool.
