A capacitive switch is comprises a sensor area and with a reference surface in which the sensor surface and the reference surface are configured to produce an electric field (E) between them. The sensor surface and the reference surface are arranged substantially in a common plane such that an electrical field (E) is formed between them with an arched line of force. A coupling surface is configured to move in a plurality of directions in space with respect to the sensor surface and reference surface. A lighting element is configured to illuminate the capacitive switch when activated. A tactile feedback device provides feedback as the capacitive switch is being actuated.

Capacitive switches

In order to easily install a light housing (,) in a simple and straightforward fashion into an installation opening, the light housing has an installation frame (,) having a frame opening (,) which can be installed from the front into the installation opening and with an insert member (,) which can be moved from a forward direction at least partially into the frame opening (,) and with at least one pivot element (,) born on the installation frame (,) which, in an outward pivot position, engages, with a seating surface (,), behind the wall of the installation opening and, in an inward pivot position, engages into the path of motion of the insert member (,) with an abutment surface (,) extending at an angle with respect to the seating surface (,). The entire light housing (,) is preferentially an injection-molded component.

Light housing with pivot elements

A lighting device comprises at least one door light (4) provided in a door (2) of a vehicle, the light source of which (6) is disposed behind a wall (7) of a door covering, in particular a trim (3), wherein the outer side of the wall (7) is formed, in this region (8), by a light-permeable decorative layer (10) which has a surface pattern when the light source (6) is switched off corresponding to the remaining surface decor of the wall (7). The light-permeable decorative layer (10) is introduced onto a transparent plastic (13) using the IMD method. It is thereby possible to impart an arbitrary surface design to the light-permeable decorative layer (10).

Lighting device in the door of a vehicle

A light (1) for vehicles having a switch (2) and a pivotably mounted window (25) for illumination whose pivoting causes operation of the switch (2), is characterized in that the switch (2) has a contact lever (4) mounted in a pivotable fashion about an axis of rotation (3), with the contact lever (4) having an operation arm (5) extending in a first direction away from the axis of rotation (3) as well as a contact arm (6) extending in a second direction away from the axis of rotation (3), wherein the operation arm (5) has an operation region (7) having a first separation with respect to the axis of rotation (3) and the contact arm (6) has a contact region (8) having a second separation with respect to the axis of rotation (3), wherein the second separation is larger than the first separation and, by means of a directed motion of the operation arm (5) in the operation region (7), the contact lever (4) pivots about the axis of rotation (3) and the contact region (8) moves in such a fashion as to operate the switch (2). The window (25) is coupled to the operation region (7). This lighting configuration is economical and guarantees a reliable switching while simultaneously satisfying, due to the limited window pivot, requirements with regard to appearance. In addition, the configuration has a minimum number of plugs/contact pieces and only four plugs/contact pieces are necessary in the conventional vehicle lighting having three switch positions for ON, DC (door contact) and OFF.
