A control device for the control of a module battery, comprising a first external bus interface for the reception of external control commands from a higher level control and an internal bus interface for an internal bus, by way of which battery modules connected with the control device are able to be controlled in accordance with the external control command and by way of which the battery modules may transmit messages to the control device. The control device possesses a second external bus interface, by way of which visualizing data for visualizing at least one function of the module battery may be applied.

An electronic part having electrical terminals for the connection of further equipment includes at least one internal electronic unit, which is connected with the electrical terminals. The electrical terminals are part of an adapter arranged in a replaceable fashion on a base having the internal electronic unit. The adapter possesses a standardized first electrical interface connected with the electrical terminals, which on mounting and dismounting the adapter on and from a standardized second electrical interface connected with the internal electronic unit and mounted on the base, are contacted and put out of contact with the first interface coming into and out of electrical contact with the standardized second electrical interface, which are provided on the base and are connected with the internal electronic unit.

Electro-pneumatic control device

An electropneumatic control device having a plurality of valves, each valve being associated with at least one electrically actuatable valve drive. Each valve drive has integrated therein its own bus communication unit and is coupled to a bus line for communication with a central control unit. Actuating control signals are supplied from the central control unit for controlling each of the plurality of valves integrated therein. The valve drives may also include electrical contacts for piercing an insulating sheath of the bus line to make electrical connection with control wires within the bus line. The electropneumatic control device described above reduces design complexity.

Electropneumatic control device

A personal computer or equivalent is programmed to create a virtual operating unit for a robotic device (eg., a micro-processor controlled machine, conveyor, etc.). The actual operating unit, which plugs into the robotic device and controls it, includes a keypad and a display. When reprogramming the machine, the operating unit is unplugged and the computer is plugged in. The computer can be switched between two modes. In a programming mode, the computer is used to modify the program in the robotic device microprocessor. In an operating mode, the computer mimics the operating unit to test the newly-entered program. On the computer screen are generated a virtual display (the image of the actual display of the operating unit) and a map of the operating unit keypad. The technician observes the virtual display on the computer screen and enters commands, indirectly, through the computer's keyboard instead of through the actual operating unit keypad. The virtual operating unit allows the robotic device program to be tested without disconnecting the personal computer and re-connecting the actual operating unit. The virtual keys may be highlighted, as by flashing, when the corresponding keys of the computer keyboard are touched.
