For connecting high pressures and flows, a safety valve includes a first main stage which, in a rest position, connects a fluid outlet to a first relief outlet and, in a switched position, connects a fluid inlet to a fluid connection for a second main stage. The second main stage, in a rest position, connects the fluid outlet to a second relief outlet and, in a switched position, connects the fluid connection to a fluid outlet. Both main stages are configured as seat valves having multipart tappets and, when the first main stage is connected, a first tappet part that is actuated counter to a spring load, in a first movement portion, initially sealingly abuts a second tappet part, as a result of which a relief passage to the first relief outlet is closed.

Safety valve

The disclosure relates to a valve assembly and a method for controlling the air suspension level of a rail vehicle. A system is provided, which is constructionally simple to build and easy to parameterise, for controlling the air suspension level of a rail vehicle. The object of the disclosure is achieved by a valve assembly for controlling the air suspension level of a rail vehicle, comprising a proportional directional valve, a sensor means for continuously detecting a distance variable representing the distance of a carriage body from a chassis or bogie of the rail vehicle, and a digital control device, wherein the control device is designed to be programmable for determining a control deviation based on the actual distance detected by the sensor means and a comparison with a predefinable target distance, and for continuously generating control variables as a linear function of the determined control deviation and the carriage body travelling speed. The object is also achieved by a method for controlling the air suspension level of a rail vehicle with a proportional directional valve, a sensor means for continuously detecting a distance variable representing the distance of the carriage body from a chassis or bogie, and a digital control device, wherein a control deviation is determined by the control device based on a comparison of the actual distances detected by the sensor means with a predefinable target distance, and a control variable is generated continuously as a linear function of the determined control deviation and the carriage body travelling speed.

Valve assembly and method for controlling the air suspension level of a rail vehicle

A diaphragm poppet valve has a control diaphragm which is resilient in shape and separates a control chamber from a working chamber. The control diaphragm is designed as a single piece on the side thereof facing the control chamber or the working chamber of the diaphragm poppet valve with a hollow portion and on the side thereof facing the working chamber with a diaphragm valve seat. The interior of the hollow portion issues into the diaphragm valve seat and the hollow portion is connected to a fluid channel in the diaphragm poppet valve. The diaphragm poppet valve is easy to clean because the interior of the hollow projection and the diaphragm valve seat formed by the control diaphragm can easily be flushed.

Diving equipment includes a compressed air bottle connected to a breathing apparatus and an inflatable jacket via which buoyancy is balanced by the jacket being connected to the compressed air bottle to be inflated or to an outlet to be deflated. A monitoring device is activated via a control valve as a function of surrounding water pressure and has a time monitoring unit which, after the expiry of a defined time and in the absence of breathing activity in the breathing apparatus, changes to emergency operation and activates an emergency valve via a control line connecting the jacket to the compressed air bottle to force inflation of the jacket. Actuation of at least one regulating valve is influenced during a dive by the monitoring device and/or the control valve. In manual activation, the jacket is inflated via the inflation valve, and the compressed air is bled via the outlet valve.
