An open-end spinning rotor (), comprising a rotor shaft (), a rotor cup () and a coupling device () with a receiving element () connected to the rotor shaft () and an axle element () connected to the rotor cup (). The coupling device () comprises three clamping bodies (), arranged between a contour () of the receiving element and a contour () of the axle element. The contour of the receiving element, the contour of the axle element and the clamping bodies are configured such that by driving the rotor shaft, a relative rotational movement is produced between the receiving element and the clamping bodies and the axle element, in that owing to the relative rotational movement, the clamping bodies are clamped between the contour of the axle element and the contour of the receiving element to non-positively transmit a drive torque.

Open-end spinning rotor

A method for operating an open-end rotor spinning machine having a plurality of workstations, usually a large number, each including a spinning device with a rotor housing, to which negative pressure can be applied, in which a spinning rotor () revolves at a high rotational speed, to produce a yarn, as well as a winding device to produce a cross-wound bobbin (), wherein the connection of the workstations to a central negative pressure supply can be selectively switched off. The application of negative pressure to the rotor housing is limited to the spinning devices which are producing yarn as well as the spinning devices which are repiecing.

Method for operating an open-end rotor spinning machine

A rotor bearing comprising at least one support disc pair, which is comprised of two support discs (), which are arranged in such a way that they form a wedge gap, and a spinning rotor () with a rotor shaft (), which is mounted in the wedge gap. The invention is to provide a support disc bearing that is easy to produce. For this purpose, a rolling bearing () is arranged in the base body () of the support discs () and the rolling bearings () are in each case applied on a fixed bearing bolt (). The invention furthermore relates to the support disc () and a method for producing the support disc ().

Support disc bearing for an open-end spinning device

An open-end spinning rotor (), comprising a rotor shaft (), a rotor cup () and a coupling device () releasably connecting the rotor shaft () and rotor cup (). The coupling device () has locking bodies (), arranged in a holding element () and lock the rotor cup () and the rotor shaft () in the axial direction under centrifugal force during operation of the open-end spinning rotor (). A resilient element () is associated with the locking bodies () and cooperates with the locking bodies () such that the locking bodies () also lock the rotor cup () to the rotor shaft () in the axial direction at a standstill. The holding element () is configured as a pin which is formed such that it produces a positive shaft-hub connection between the rotor shaft () and rotor cup () in conjunction with a correspondingly formed hub ().

An improved method for operating a textile machine having plural workstations comprising exchangeable components, each having a readable and writable transponder arranged on or integrated in the exchangeable components. During the lifecycle of the exchangeable components at least the operating data which influence the wearing of the exchangeable components are automatically stored on the respective transponder. Textile machines for carrying out the method are characterised by arranging in the region of each workstation at least one transceiver for writing and reading the transponders attached to or integrated in the exchangeable components.

Spinning rotor () for an open end rotor spinning machine comprising a rotor shaft (), a rotor cup (), which has an opening (), an inner chamber (), a rotor groove (), a conically widening slide wall () extending from the opening () to the rotor groove () and a rotor base () arranged opposing the opening () and designed with a bore (), through which the rotor shaft () extends at least partially. The rotor shaft () is connected by means of a connection element () to the rotor cup () and the rotor shaft () and rotor cup () comprise a common rotational axis (). The rotor shaft () and the rotor cup () have connection means (), which are at least partially surrounded by the connection element () configured as a cast part, so a positive connection of the rotor shaft () to the rotor cup () can be achieved.

Spinning rotor

A spinning rotor for use at high speeds in open-end spinning machines has a rotor cup having an annular wall portion defining a rotor opening, a bottom wall portion merging with the annular wall portion, and a mounting hub extending exteriorly from the bottom wall portion. A rotor shaft is affixed to the mounting hub coaxially with the rotor cup. The merger of the bottom and annular wall portions of the rotor cup defines a maximum exterior diameter of the rotor and an interior rotor groove. The annular wall portion, the bottom wall portion and the mounting hub are of different cross-sectional thicknesses with the cross-sectional thickness of the bottom wall portion increasing from the rotor groove to the mounting hub. The wall thickness is less than 1.2 mm in the area of the maximum exterior diameter of the rotor cup () and the rotor cup has an aerodynamic exterior contour free of edges for deterring turbulent boundary layer air flow thereabout and an interior contour for promoting fiber spinning into a yarn.

Spinning rotor for open-end spinning machines

A feeding trough for a sliver opening device of an open-end spinning device, having a concave gripping area for conveying a sliver, lateral walls for guiding the sliver, and a concavely curved support surface for fixing a fiber tuft combed by an opening roller, wherein the feeding trough is pivotable around a shaft parallel to the axis of the opening roller. The feeding trough () is arranged in its working position with a gap width A of 0.7 to 1.5 mm between the support surface () and adjoining tips () of the opening roller set () at a combing-in point K, which is constantly reduced to a gap width B of &#x2266;0.5 mm over an angle area W in the direction of rotation of the opening roller () of at least 30&#xb0;. The gap width opposite the direction of rotation of the opening roller () up to a transition area () between the support surface () and the gripping area () substantially increases by only an amount such that, when pivoting the feeding trough () opposite the direction of rotation of the opening roller (), a contact with the tips of the teeth () is avoided.

Feeding trough for a sliver opening device of an open-end spinning device

An open-end rotor spinning device comprising a spinning motor rotatable at high speed inside a rotor housing subjected to low pressure and closable by a covering element. A single motor-driven opening cylinder rotates in a opening cylinder housing. A fiber guiding channel () includes an output-side channel section extending in a channel plate adapter whose installation position in the covering element is specified by its position with regard to the spinning rotor, and an input-side channel section positioned inside the opening roller housing such that the center longitudinal axes of the channel sections are angled relative to one another. The operable spinning disposition of the input-side channel section () is selectively adjustable with regard to the output-side channel section () of the fiber guiding channel () to relatively displace their respective center longitudinal lines () by angles (&#x3b1;, &#x3b2;) to obtain optimal yarn-dynamic values.

Open-end rotor spinning device

The invention relates to an open end spinning device comprising a single-motor driven spinning rotor whose cup is rotationally actuated in the rotor housing which is negatively pressurized and closed by a cover element during a spinning process. According to said invention, the rotor house () is embodied in the form of a central element which is fixable to the frame of a textile machine and connects the control () of the spinning rotor () to the carrier () for the cover element () provided with a fibre band releasing device ().

Open-end spinning device

A fiber guide channel for pneumatic transport of individual fibers combed from a sliver by an opening cylinder of an open end spinning device for delivery to a spinning rotor. The fiber guide channel is arranged in a cover element for the rotor housing and the input side of the fiber guide channel is matched in its width to the mountings of the opening cylinder. The inlet and the outlet openings of the fiber guide channel have a slot-like shape and the maximum extension (B) of the inlet opening extends parallel to the axis of the opening cylinder. The maximum extension (L) of the outlet opening of the fiber guide channel is rotated about an imaginary center line of the fiber guide channel by 90&#xb0;&#xb1;15&#xb0; relative to the maximum extension (B) of the inlet opening. The fiber guide channel has a substantially cylindrical zone Z, between the inlet and outlet openings, with the cross-section of the fiber guide channel constantly decreasing from the inlet opening to the zone Z.

An opening roller assembly for an open-end spinning device of a textile machine, wherein an opening roller () is mounted on a bearing shaft () which is fixed in a bearing bracket () of an opening roller housing () in such a manner that the shaft can be easily removed. A drive () for rotating the opening roller is provided by a single electrical motor formed as an external rotor. A contact lead device () is mounted on the bearing shaft and includes leads () which are connected to the electrical motor, and a contact shoe housing () is provided which includes contact shoes or contact pins () which are connected to a power supply () of a corresponding textile machine and which can be selectively brought into contact with the leads () of the contact lead device ().
