An electric motor, in particular a starter device for internal combustion engines in which a current-limiting electric resistor () with a negative temperature coefficient is connected at the beginning of the main current path () of an electromagnetically excitable rotor () of the electric motor (). The electric resistor () contains at least one monocrystalline semiconductor.

An integrated microstructure sensor element is proposed for detecting thermodynamic measured variables of a fluid. To that end, a supporting body, particularly a board or a wafer having at least one microstructured heating element in contact with the fluid during operation, is provided, on which or in whose vicinity are arranged first arrangement for at least intermittently acting on the heating element with an electric alternating current of defined frequency or a defined frequency band, as well a second arrangement for detecting the amplitude of the third harmonic wave of the electric voltage applied to the heating element. The proposed microstructure sensor element in the form of a compact, integrated component is suitable in particular for determining or monitoring the thermal conductivity and/or the thermal capacity of a fluid, particularly an oil in a motor vehicle.

The circuit device has a contact element, which electrically connects a wave guide (1) with a conductor strip (2). To avoid mechanical stresses due to thermal expansion the contact element is a pre-stressed prefabricated leaf spring having reproducible properties, which is bonded at one contacting area to the wave guide (1) or the conductor strip (2) by electrically conducting adhesive or glue, while a sliding contact is provided on the conductor strip (2) or the wave guide (1) at the other contacting area. The prefabricated leaf spring is preferably a MIGA leaf spring precisely made by UV depth lithography and multiplayer galvanic methods in a batch production process.

A sensor arrangement for ascertaining physical properties of a liquid is proposed, having electro-acoustical converters ( ) on a substrate ( ) which are wettable with the liquid and are suitable for generating and detecting acoustical surface waves with predetermined wave modes. A Y-rotated quartz slice is used as the substrate ( ), and above the substrate ( ) is a waveguide layer ( ); the standard of the Y rotation of the quartz slice and the material of the waveguide layer ( ) are selected such that an extensive temperature compensation within the range of temperature of the liquid to be investigated is obtained.

Sensor arrangement for detecting the physical properties of liquids

A sensor, particularly for determining the oxygen content in exhaust gasses of internal combustion engines, includes sensor element which is fixed in a metallic housing and a sealing flange which is integrally formed on the housing and rests on a sealing seat which is formed on an exhaust system. The sealing flange has two ring elements which are integrally formed on the housing and each have an inclined sealing surface, a hollow space being formed between the two ring elements inside the housing.

A contact element, in particular for making electrical contact to a sensing element of a gas sensor. The contact element has at least one connecting conductor, guided in a metal-sheathed line and contacted to at least one flexible connecting line. A connecting point between the at least one connecting conductor and the at least one connecting line is arranged in a contact housing that allows sealed and temperature-resistance contacting. The contact housing has at least one connecting element that is immovably joined to the at least one connecting line and may be contacted to the at least one connecting conductor. The at least one connecting element is arranged with an interference fit and in a form locking manner in the contact housing. The contact housing is enclosed by a temperature-resistant protective sleeve, which is joined directly to the metal-sheathed line (,) and to the at least one connecting line (,).

Electric contact element

Multiple contacts are provided in an electrical contacting arrangement of a sensor element, and the sensor element has a connection-side section with contact points, or contact pads, which are each integrally bonded to a corresponding contact. Each of the multiple contacts, at least on the section in contact with the contact point on the sensor element, has a layer by which the integral bond is formed between the contact and the contact point on the sensor element. The contacts are joined to the corresponding contact points on the sensor element by diffusion soldering or diffusion welding. Each contact has a curved intermediate section which compensates for thermal and/or mechanical expansion and movements.
