A piston compressor includes a crankcase (), a crankshaft (), connecting rods (), a crosshead () with an arranged piston rod () and a piston (), dry-running guided in a cylinder (). Valves () are provided. A piston rod sealing device (), around the piston rod between the cylinder () and the crankcase, includes a gland device (), arranged in a gland housing (), inserted into a piston compressor housing (). The gland device includes a gland jacket () pushed into a gland () limiting, with the piston rod, a sealing gap (), which is open over a common longitudinal section, has a width in the μm range and allows a leakage flow () of the compressed medium therethrough. The gland and the gland jacket are formed of different materials with a resulting coefficient of thermal expansion essentially the same as the material of the piston rod.

The compressor contains at least one piston (,) guided in a dry-running manner which, together with a cylinder insert (,), bounds a ring gap which is open over the common longitudinal section in each case and permits a leakage flow of the compressed medium. The compressor in accordance with the invention is particularly suitable for the oil-free compression of a gas.

The cloth take-up apparatus comprises a driven cloth take-up roller, two deflection elements which are rotatably supported, with the clearance between the deflection elements being less than the diameter of the cloth take-up roller, and a pressing device having a pressing part extending substantially over the length of the cloth take-up roller. The pressing device has at least one positioning device with a toggle lever mechanism and a fixed abutment in order to displace the cloth take-up roller out of a rest position into a working position and to fix it in the latter. With the blocking, the maintenance of the pressing pressure in the operating position is ensured.

A compressor (1) can be connected on the suction side via a suction line (7) provided with an inlet valve (16) to a natural gas line (9) and on the pressure side via an intake line (12) to the gas fuel tank (13) and is also connected via a relief line (10) to a relief valve (11) and a pressure control valve. (25), with said valves being disposed in a pressurized tank (4). This tank is connected to the suction side of the compressor (1) and the outlet sides of the inlet valve (16) and of the relief valve (11) and also with an outlet line (18) via a safety valve (20), which can be set at a predetermined opening pressure of 2 to 3 bar, for example. This arrangement permits a simple design of the pressurized tank (4) and a compact construction of ,the appliance, which is particularly intended for refueling motor vehicles.

The compressor comprises at least one high-pressure cylinder and piston unit having a piston which is guided in a cylinder liner and which is coupled with a crankshaft by way of a connecting element guided in the cylinder casing along the longitudinal axis of the cylinder. The piston is coupled with the connecting element by way of a mounting permitting movements of the connecting element relatively to the piston transversely of the longitudinal axis. Guidance of the piston is achieved without affect from oscillations of the connecting. The piston cooperates with the liner to bound a lubricant-free annular gap open over the whole longitudinal portion common to the liner and the piston. A dry gap ring seal can therefore be provided between the piston and the liner and ensures that the compression chamber remains seal tight even at pressures of above 60 bar. Preferably, the piston and the cylinder liner are each made of wear-resistant metal or ceramic material.

The reciprocating compressor is made with yoke units which connect opposite pairs of pistons while eliminating play between the yoke units and sliding block. Each yoke unit includes a pair of shoes which are removably secured to the pistons and which are adapted to guide the sliding block moved by a crankshaft. Each yoke unit also includes a clamp ring which surrounds the shoes and which biases the shoes towards the sliding block. The shoes are removably secured to the pistons to permit the yoke unit to be readily disassembled. Bow-shaped clamping members may also be employed within each yoke unit to further bias the clamp ring against the shoes.

Reciprocating compressor

The valve arrangement comprises a disc engageable with a valve seat without attachment and a resilient diaphragm engageable with the disc without attachment. The disc completely covers a passage surrounded by the valve seat and flowed through by a fluid. On the side remote from the valve seat, the disc has a central protuberance with cooperates with a central thrust surface of the diaphragm. The disc and the diaphragm are freely movable in a recess adapted to be flowed through by the fluid, the recess being present in a guide member extending around the valve seat. The recess has an inwardly projecting step with which the diaphragm edge part is urged into engagement. This arrangement leads to a flat compact valve with minimum dead space.

Valve arrangement

The filling device houses a compressor which is connected via a suction line comprising an inlet shut-off valve to a source of gaseous fuel, and is adapted to be connected to a gaseous-fuel container via a supply line equipped with a pressure-limiting valve and a discharge valve. The inlet valve and the discharge valve are connected to a control device which together with the pressure-limiting valve, the discharge valve and, if required, the inlet valve is disposed in a pressure-resistant casing connected to a discharge line leading away from the device. The control device is adapted to be influenced in dependence on control signals from a temperature sensor detecting the environmental temperature, a pressure sensor detecting the pressure at which the compressor is supplied, and a pressure-difference sensor disposed in front of the inlet valve and detecting the difference between the pressure in the suction line and in the casing. This device enables the supply pressure to be automatically adapted to the environmental temperature, and prevents uncontrolled escape to gaseous fuel near the filling device.

The safeguard device has a light beam emitter secured to a pivotal lever for movement between an operative position and a retracted position. In addition, a plate is pivotally mounted relative to the lever to move with the lever. The plate is formed with a recess to expose the light beam when the lever is in an operative position and is otherwise shaped to mask the emitter when the lever is pivoted into a retracted position. Masking of the light beam serves to signal a need for interrupting the operation of the weaving machine.

Safeguard device for a weaving machine

The cooling machine or heat pump has a thermoacoustic work system having a heat source and a heat sink coupled with at least one thermoacoustic drive system of like construction. The heat source of the drive system has a higher temperature than the heat source of the work system. The machine can be used in a refrigerating system with heat energy removed from a cold chamber and used as a heat source in the thermoacoustic work system. The machine can also be used in a heat pump heating system with heat energy removed by way of a first heat exchange surface from a burner and used as a heat source in the thermoacoustic drive system. A process water circuit is used as a heat sink for the thermoacoustic drive system while a heating-water circuit is used as a heat sink for the thermoacoustic work system.

The weaving machine as provided with a means for directing an air flow past the weft supply means. The air flow serves to clean the bobbins, yarn storage device and other weft supply elements outside the shed in order to remove fluff which might otherwise enter into the shed.

Transparent plastic cover curtains are suspended from rods at the warp beam and cloth beam ends of the weaving machine. The curtains are of multi-part construction to allow lifting of individual parts to gain access to the machine parts, the warp beam and the cloth beam. The curtains allow the warp and cloth beams to be included in the air paths to an air cleaning duct.
