A method for operating a brake system of a motor vehicle is disclosed. The brake system comprises a drive arrangement for applying and/or boosting a brake force, wherein the drive arrangement has an electric drive. The method comprises the step: short-circuiting the electric drive as soon as the electric drive has been disconnected from a supply source and/or a voltage drop and/or current drop has taken place. A computer program, control circuit and a control unit or system having multiple control units is also disclosed.

Hydraulic motor vehicle brake system and method for operating same

A brake system includes a first functional unit having at least one first hydraulic pressure generator, which is designed to build up a hydraulic pressure at a wheel brake, and a first hydraulic fluid reservoir, from which the first hydraulic pressure generator can draw in hydraulic fluid. The brake system furthermore comprises a second functional unit having at least one second, electric hydraulic pressure generator, which is controllable in order to build up a hydraulic pressure at the wheel brake, a check valve and at least one second hydraulic fluid reservoir, having an outlet, via which the second, electric hydraulic pressure generator can draw in hydraulic fluid, and an inlet, relative to which the check valve is arranged upstream in such a way that it has a blocking effect toward the inlet in respect of a flow direction.

The present disclosure relates to a method for testing a brake fluid sensor of a vehicle braking system, wherein the brake fluid sensor can indicate the fluid level in the fluid reservoir, wherein the method has the following steps: (1) Altering the fluid level in at least one region of the at least one fluid reservoir by means of at least one braking force generating device; and (2) Detecting whether the at least one brake fluid sensor emits a signal indicating the modified fluid level in the at least one region of the at least one fluid reservoir.

Method for testing a brake fluid sensor

A hydraulic brake system for a motor vehicle with redundant braking pressure regulation is presented. The brake system comprises a first functional unit having at least one first electrical braking pressure generator which is designed to generate a braking pressure at each of a plurality of wheel brakes, and further having a valve assembly per wheel brake. The valve assembly can be actuated for braking pressure regulation at the corresponding wheel brake in order to couple a first wheel brake associated with the valve assembly either to the first braking pressure generator or to an unpressurized reservoir for hydraulic fluid. The brake system also comprises a second functional unit having at least one second electrical braking pressure generator which is designed to generate a braking pressure at each of a subset of the wheel brakes. The output of the second braking pressure generator is arranged downstream, as seen from the first braking pressure generator, of the valve assembly associated with the corresponding wheel brake. The second functional unit is also designed to perform braking pressure regulation at each wheel brake of the subset redundantly in relation to the first functional unit.

Hydraulic brake system for a motor vehicle and method for operating and testing same

A piston pump housing for a hydraulic pressure generator in a vehicle brake system includes a housing, in which a bore for receiving an eccentric shaft is formed. In the housing at least six cylinders for receiving one pump piston each are further provided. The cylinders are disposed in pairs in three or more mutually spaced-apart planes and open out in each case into the receiving bore for the eccentric shaft. According to a possible realization, in a two-circuit vehicle brake system at least three cylinders are associated with each brake circuit to increase the operating comfort. To reduce wear, each of the provided eccentrics interacts with only two pump pistons.
