A metal-encapsulated switching apparatus includes a housing having first and second opposite ends, a first insulator disposed at the first end and a second insulator disposed at the second end. First terminals are supported on the first insulator. First phase conductors run in a given direction and are connected to the first terminals. Second terminals are supported on the second insulator. Second phase conductors run in the given direction and are connected to the second terminals. The first and second terminals are mutually parallel, spaced apart and mutually overlapped. Movable contacts in the form of contact blades are supported on the first terminals. Fixed contacts are supported on the second terminals. Extensions with free ends protrude from and are perpendicular to the first and second terminals in the same direction. Fixed terminal contacts are perpendicular to the given direction of the phase conductors. Intermediate pieces are disposed on the free ends of the extensions and are movable into contact with the fixed terminal contacts.

Metal-encapsulated switching apparatus

A pressurized gas-insulated circuit breaker includes a substantially tubular encapsulating housing having ends, a plurality of circuit breaker poles in phases, at least one of which is disposed in the encapsulating housing, and current feed lines. Each line leading to a respective one of the circuit breaker poles. Current discharge lines each lead from a respective one of the circuit breaker poles. The current feed and discharge lines to and from each respective circuit breaker pole being disposed at the same one of the ends of the encapsulating housing. Supplemental conductors are each disposed in the encapsulating housing and are each extending parallel to and forming a U-shape with a respective one of the circuit breaker poles.

Pressurized gas-insulated three-phase encapsulated high-voltage circuit

Disconnect switch, including a bus bar, at least one phase feed conductor being connected to the bus bar and having at least one fixed bus bar contact, a safety switch or circuit breaker, at least one outgoing conductor connected to the safety switch or circuit breaker, a drive shaft, at least one contact blade rotatably drivable on the drive shaft into current-conducting connection with the at least one fixed bus bar contact in an on position, and at least one fixed blade contact being in continuous current-conducting connection between the at least one outgoing conductor and the at least one contact blade.

Electric switch includes a fixed contact member and a movable contact member movable from a position wherein it is in contact with the fixed contact member to a position wherein it is spaced therefrom, one of the members having a nozzle-like inner channel, a blast piston-cylinder assembly surrounding the contact members in the contact position thereof wherein the switch is in switched-on condition, the cylinder and the piston being displaceable relatively toward one another in the switched-on condition of the switch so as to compress a gas received in the space between the piston and the cylinder, the fixed and movable contact member in the spaced position thereof, during switch-off of the switch, having an arc therebetween, the arc being blown by an extinguishing flow through the nozzle-like inner channel of the gas compressed by the piston and cylinder assembly, the piston having a base secured to the movable contact member drive means for substantially uniformly actuating on the cylinder, the compressive force of the compressed gas on the piston base driving the movable contact member into switched-OFF position of the switch, and means located between the cylinder and the movable contact member for controlling the course of travel of the movable contact member relative to that of the cylinder.
