The application relates to an active joint orthosis, particularly an orthosis for the hip joint, with an extended therapeutic function and including a joint splint with articulated arms that can be pivoted relative to one another and a pad that can be actively moved via a coupling joint or cam profile on one articulated arm.

Joint orthosis with movable pad

A medical aid for supporting the function of the knee joint, in particular a knee joint orthosis with a pad engaging around the patella of the knee joint. An improved patellar pad has the additional function of supporting movement and has additional preventive/therapeutic functions.

Disclosed is a bandage for knee joints that includes an elastic textile stocking, an annular or clasp-like elastic profiled insert arranged in or at the textile stocking to encase at least the lateral (fibula-side) section of the patella of the knee joint and at least one flexible, inelastic tensile strap essentially extending in the longitudinal direction of the bandage over the knee joint.

Knee bandage having a corrective strap

A knee joint bandage made of elastic textile material having a profiled insert encompassing the kneecap in a recess, the insert being covered by an overlay fastened to the textile material. Within the profile insert is a flexible, non-expandable tensioning member for connecting the regions of the kneecap poles on the fibula side in an arc around the kneecap wherein the distance between these regions increases during bending of the knee joint, the distance of the arc from the connecting line of the knee poles is decreased, and the tensioning member presses on the adjacent side of the kneecap, displacing the same medially and centering it. The bandage is provided with a flexible tensioning band, which partially covers the kneecap in its peripheral area relative to the tensioning member, the tensioning band substantially extends in the direction between the kneecap poles such that it counteracts a lifting of the kneecap.

Orthotic insert

The invention relates to an ankle orthosis comprising a U-shaped support stirrup made of a flexible material, the sides of which stirrup converge beneath the foot in a web projecting as a tab toward the metatarsus, extend past the bones, and are held together at their end regions by a fastening strap wrapping around the leg. The tab has a convexity, which presses against the cuboid bone of the foot due to a preloading of the tab.

Ankle joint orthosis

Knee-joint bandage of elastic textile material, the knee-joint bandage being provided with a specially shaped insert surrounding the kneecap in a cutout. The specially shaped insert being covered by an overlay of identical or similar textile material attached to the textile material with the specially shaped insert being associated with a flexible, non-expandable tensioning member. The tensioning member connecting the regions of the kneecap poles on the fibula side in an arc around the kneecap such that, when the distance between the regions increases during bending of the knee joint, the distance of the arc from the connecting line between the kneecap poles is reduced and the tensioning member presses on the adjacent side of the kneecap, medially displacing and centering the latter, wherein the tensioning member is attached to the overlay in such a manner that, during bending of the knee joint and stretching of the overlay, the tensioning member displaces the kneecap.

Elastic knee-joint bandage

A tubular compression bandage of elastic textile material includes a plurality of tightening straps adjacently encompassing the bandage. The tightening straps are fastened by their starting portions to a starting longitudinal strip connected to the outer surface of the bandage and are guided circumferentially in pairs at an oblique angle of up to 30&#xb0; with respect to the longitudinal direction of the bandage to their terminating portions of the side opposite the starting longitudinal strip to pairs of securing eyes arranged in herringbone-like manner and are folded back therein to form Velcro&#x2122; fasteners on the bandage, the degree of oblique guiding being adjustable through selectble fixing of the starting and/or terminating portions of the tightening straps in the longitudinal direction of the bandage.

Tubular compression bandage

A elastic bandage having a tubular shape with an opening for a thub disposed therein. The dandage is adapted to be disposed about the top, bottom and both sides of the hand. It is characterized by a profiled padding on opposite sides of the bandage and is adapted to engage the opposite sides of the hand and wrist. The padding tapers into unpadded portions of the bandage in the regions between the sides of the hand and the top and the bottom of the hand so that the bandage urges against the top and the bottom of the hand with only slight pressure in the unpadded regions. The padding acts like pillars supporting the bandage which spans the space between them.

Elastic wrist bandage

An ankle-joint orthosis which comprises a U-shaped supporting yoke consisting of flexible material, the arms of which meet in a web below the foot, extend above the malleoli and are held together in their end region by a fastening strap wrapping round the leg. The outer arm is taken upwards at the side in front of its malleolus and the inner arm is taken up opposite the outer arm, in front of the Achilles tendon. The arms are taken towards the web as far as a position in front of the heel and extend upwards towards their ends in such a manner that they rise upwards laterally beside the edges of the shinbone, substantially parallel to these. Fitted in the lower region of the arms is a supporting strap, particularly a self-gripping strap, which extends from the one arm, over the instep obliquely upwards to the other arm on which it can be fixed, engages round the Achilles tendon above the malleolus and, crossing over itself on the instep, ends in a holding member on the other arm.
