The invention relates to a labeling machine for wet adhesive labels comprising a gluing and application device which holds and guides the labels. A label magazine is connected upstream from the gluing and application device to which labels are fed from said label magazine. During the processing of multiple labels, the label magazine is configured as a support platform with a support wall that extends over the entire length of the platform, and transporting means for transporting the labels are provided above the support platform in the vicinity of the support wall. Said transporting means transfer the detached label to a label conveyor arranged above the support wall, and a conveyor platform is provided on the label conveyor. The label is conveyed, in a conveying direction of the label conveyor, on said conveyor platform up to a specified position, and is then conveyed, perpendicular to the conveying direction of the label conveyor, to the feed position of the gluing and application station or to the feed side of the label shaft.

Device for supplying labels

A yarn is waxed as it passes from a rotating takeup gripper to the traversing eye of a driven takeup spool. Toward this end the yarn is passed tangentially over and deflected by a waxing bar that is reciprocated transversely to the direction of the travel of the yarn. Spaced from the path of the yarn is a wax body that is pressed against the surface of the bar which is reciprocated through a sufficiently long path that wax applied to the bar at the body is displaced along and transferred to the yarn.

Apparatus for waxing a yarn

A thread brake for a double-thread twister comprises a housing defining a relatively narrow thread passage and having a relatively wide compartment defined by at least one of the housing walls. A braking element provided in the compartment normally lies in a braking portion against the wall at the passage and is displaceable laterally of the passage into a position clear of this passage. Thus a thread extending along the passage is normally pinched by the braking element against the wall. A threading element is also provided in the housing and has an elongated relatively narrow open course. This threading element is displaceable between a position with the course out of alignment with the thread passage in the compartment and into a threading position with the course aligned with the passage in the compartment. Operating means connected to an inlet tube forming part of the passage is displaceable for shifting the threading element from outside the housing into the threading position and for simultaneously displacing the braking element out of the braking position. Two such braking arrangements can be provided in the housing.

Thread brake for double thread twister

A thread is pulled off a yarn package and down past a thread brake into a spindle shaft forming part of a rotating structure. The thread exits at the bottom of the shaft from a radial opening in a payoff disk having a frustoconical surface formed with a peripheral groove. The thread passes from below across this groove and is then pulled up between the yarn package and a ballon-limiting cylinder. A reservoir disposed next to this structure is filled with a treatment liquid feeding an applicator whose upper end projects into the groove in the payoff disk. A wick in the applicator tube conducts the liquid up to the tip of the tube and moistens the thread as it passes periodically between this tip and the rotating disk.
