An intermediate lever arrangement for a mechanically-controllable valve drive arrangement, includes a pivot lever arrangement. At least one intermediate lever(s) comprising a working cam is configured to be in an operative connection with the pivot lever arrangement. A bearing shaft is arranged on the at least one intermediate lever(s). An engagement element comprising a circumferential point is mounted in the at least one intermediate lever(s) arrangement so as to rotate about an axis of rotation. A fixing device is arranged on the bearing shaft. The fixing device is configured to fix the engagement element in a defined position. A device is configured so that the circumferential point of the engagement element, upon a rotation by an angle &#x3b1;, describes a curved shape which deviates from an arc of a circle.

Mechanically controllable valve drive arrangement

A valve device for an internal combustion engine includes a multi-part housing. A drive unit generates a rotational moment. The drive unit is arranged in a motor chamber. A transmission unit is arranged in a transmission chamber. An eccentric is configured to be driven by the transmission unit. A valve rod is configured to be displaceable in translation. The valve rod extends into a valve rod displacement chamber. A coupling element converts a displacement of the eccentric into a translational displacement of the valve rod. A valve seat is arranged between an inlet and an outlet. A valve closing body is attached to the valve rod. The valve closing body is configured to be lowered onto the valve seat and lifted off the valve seat. A cover is disposed between the eccentric and the coupling element. The cover is configured to separate the transmission chamber from the valve rod displacement chamber.

Valve device for an internal combustion engine

An air control valve for internal combustion engines having a turbocharger, is placed inside a bypass channel between a pressure side and an intake side of a boost pressure pump of the turbocharger, and has a housing which incorporates an electromagnetic drive unit and a valve unit movable in the housing. The valve unit has a valve rod and a valve closing body attached thereto and a circular sealing element. An arrangement is provided to keep the moving valve unit in a closed position when no current is supplied to the valve unit. At least one pressure compensation opening is provided in the moving valve unit, and the valve closing body has a cylindrical lateral surface which is arranged in such a manner that a housing interior is sealed towards the pressure side or the intake side.

Ambient-air pulsed valve for internal combustion engines equipped with a turbocharger

A gearbox for a gear () to be connected to an electric motor () comprises a box body () and a box cover (). Arranged internally of the box cover () is a holding portion for an output shaft bearing (). According to the invention, electric connectors () for electric connection of the electric motor () are provided within the box body (), and the electric feed lines () connected to the electric connectors () are injection-molded into the box body ().

A method for operating an exhaust gas mass flow sensor which is used, in particular, in exhaust gas mass flows of motor vehicles has an operating mode and a cleaning mode. In an operating mode, the exhaust gas mass flow sensor is operated at an operating temperature. In a cleaning mode, the exhaust gas mass flow sensor is changed over for the purpose of cleaning a measurement region and is cleaned at a cleaning temperature which is higher than the operating temperature.

Method for operating an exhaust gas mass flow sensor

A device for phase-shifting a rotational angle of a drive wheel relative to an output shaft. The device includes a planetary gear including a sun wheel, a hollow wheel and at least one planet wheel, wherein the sun wheel and the hollow wheel mesh with the at least one planet wheel. A planet wheel carrier having the at least one planet wheel is arranged thereon and is fixedly connected to the output shaft so as to commonly rotate with the output shaft. A drive wheel is connected to the planetary gear and is at least indirectly connected to the sun wheel. An actuator engages the planetary gear so that the hollow wheel is rotatable relative to the sun wheel. The actuator is disposed tangentially to the planetary gear and includes a worm engaging an outer toothing of the hollow wheel, with the sun wheel being at least indirectly connected to the drive wheel.

Device for phase-shifting the rotational angle of a drive wheel relative to an output shaft

An exhaust-gas recirculation device includes a distributor element () driven corresponding to the rotational speed of the camshaft () of an internal combustion engine (), wherein, via the distributor element (), a fluidic connection can be established from an exhaust-gas inlet channel () to respectively one exhaust-gas outlet channel () of a plurality of exhaust-gas outlet channels () corresponding in number to the cylinders. Advantageously, apart from the distributor element (), use can be made of a control element () which is movable via an actuator () and by which clearing of the fluidic connection between the outlet opening () of the distributor element () and the exhaust-gas outlet channels () of the exhaust gas recirculation device () can be shifted in comparison to the phase angle of the camshaft ().

Exhaust-gas recirculation device for an internal combustion engine

An actuating device including a housing that is closed by a cover in such a way that both an electric motor and a gearbox unit are completely enclosed. An internal gear segment, arranged on an output shaft in a rotationally fixed manner, is positioned on a borehole of the cover. An axle on which a double toothed gear is arranged is then mounted on the output side, an a pocket hole in the cover. This reduces the overall length, as well as the number of components and the cost.

Actuating device

The invention relates to a controllable two-way valve (), in which a valve rod () is connected in a permanent manner to at least two valve members (), the valve rod () being actuated by means of an actuator (). The housing () comprises an inlet () or outlet and two corresponding outlets (), () or inlets. According to the invention, the two valve members () correspond with at least two valve seats () and the two or more valve members () have three control surfaces (). The invention thus provides a dirt-resistant valve, which is easy to operate, has fixed valve members and does not require additional equipment. Said valve permits both the inlet to be completely blocked and the two outlets to be controlled independently of one another.

An exhaust gas return system for an internal-combustion machine which comprises a low-pressure supply line extending from an inlet From the compressor. a high-pressure supply line extends to the internal-combustion machine. From the internal-combustion machine a high-pressure exhaust gas line extends to a turbine. From the turbine a low-pressure exhaust gas line extends to an outlet. The low-pressure exhaust gas line and the low-pressure supply line have connected therewith a low-pressure return line for returning exhaust gas. The high-pressure exhaust gas line has connected therewith a bypass line for utilizing the heat of the exhaust gas produced in the internal-combustion machine for heating the exhaust gas to be returned of the low-pressure return line before the exhaust gas is supplied to the turbine (24), if desired. Thus the cold start phase of the internal-combustion machine can be reduced.

Exhaust-gas return system for an internal-combustion machine and method of returning exhaust gas

A two-stage gear mechanism includes a drive shaft having a first gear stage disposed in a fixed housing and containing planetary wheels. The two-stage gear mechanism also includes a second gear stage, driven by the first gear stage and meshing with a drive shaft. Each of the planetary wheels is formed as a stepped double gear wheel with a first gear wheel that engages the drive shaft, and with a second gear wheel that points toward the direction of the output side. The bearing axles of each of the planetary wheels are disposed spatially fixed within the housing. The second gear wheels of the planetary wheels mesh with a hollow wheel of the second gear stage, the hollow wheel being non-rotationally coupled to the drive shaft.

Two-stage gear mechanism

A valve unit for internal combustion engines with a drive unit, a gear mechanism, a valve rod and a valve disk, the gear mehanicm being provided with an eccentrically disposed coupling part which is connected coactingly with the valve rod, the coupling part being a bearing element which serves as a connection means with the valve rod. A combustion-air intake-channel portion and an exhaust-gas return unit are integrally combined with the valve unit.

Assembly of a valve unit, a combustion air intake and an exhaust gas recirculation unit for an internal combustion engine

An exhaust gas recirculation valve in which an impact element is spaced from a head on a valve rod, in order to develop kinetic energy when activated end produce impact on the head to free a valve member which may have become stuck to the valve seat due to deposits on the seat from the recirculating exhaust gas. The impact member is activated when the engine is started and after the valve disk is free, the exhaust gas recirculation valve operates conventionally.
