The invention relates to a method and system for tracing a subscription in a telecommunication system. The telecommunication system comprises a local exchange, an access node connected to the local exchange, a wireless link system connected to the access node and a telecommunication terminal connected via the wireless link system to the access node. In the telecommunication system, an IMEI code corresponding to the telecommunication terminal and an IMSI code corresponding to the subscriber have been defined. In the method of the invention, the tracing of the subscription is started on the basis of the IMEI code and the tracing is converted into IMSI tracing. In the system, the access node comprises means for tracing a subscription on the basis of the IMEI code and means for converting the IMEI tracing into IMSI tracing.

Method and system for tracing a subscription

The invention relates to a procedure for carrying out checking functions relating to safety management in a mobile communication network and/or in a wireless local network during call setup. In the procedure, information about the degree of occupancy of a data processing apparatus implementing the checking functions in a network element, such as a mobile communication switching center and/or the access node of a wireless local network, is continuously determined, the frequency of execution of the checking functions is adjusted based on the occupancy information thus determined, and checking functions are carried out on the calls according to the checking frequency defined for the respective degree of occupancy.

Procedure for carrying out checking functions relating to safety management in a mobile communication network and/or in a wireless local network

The invention relates to a procedure for ensuring emergency calls in a wireless local loop environment which is based on technology employed in a mobile telephone system and which comprises a telephone exchange (,), an access node (,) connected to the telephone exchange, a terminal device (,) and a base station (,) connected to the telephone exchange via the access node and serving to transmit call signals between the access node and the terminal device, in which the home network (,) of the terminal device is defined by the base station and the associated access node and in which base stations (,) of other networks are disposed in the environment of the local loop, so that the terminal device receives information signals from the surrounding base stations and, based on said information signals, determines the base station it is communicating with, and the emergency call is set up via any base station compatible with the terminal device. To ensure successful set-up of an emergency call when connection between the terminal device (,) and the telephone exchange (,) of its home network (,) is lost, a dial tone is generated by means of the terminal device, an emergency number dialed via the terminal device is identified and the emergency call function of the mobile telephone system is used for the set-up of the emergency call.
