Provided is an apparatus () for extracting juice from food ingredients. The apparatus comprises a container () for receiving the food ingredients; the container having a juice outlet (). A blender tool is located inside the container which blends the food ingredients. A drive system () drives the blender tool for blending and spins the container to assist juice which is released from the food ingredients during blending to pass out of the container via the juice outlet. The drive system provides independent control over the driving of the blender tool and the spinning of the container respectively. Further provided is a method for extracting juice from food ingredients.

A device () for cutting food includes a cutting unit having a rotatable carrier, a slicing knife associated with the carrier at one side of the carrier for slicing the food, and at least one dicing knife associated with the carrier at another side of the carrier for dicing the food. The cutting unit also includes a protection element that is disposed along a side of the carrier where the at least one dicing knife associated with the carrier is present. The protection element delimits a dicing space for the at least one dicing knife associated with the carrier to move through during operation. The protection element has at least one annular groove at a side for facing the carrier. The annular groove receives a free end of the at least one dicing knife associated with the carrier.

A device for use in a blender comprises a rotatably arranged tool () for moving through food to be processed by means of the blender, and a tool cage () for partially covering the tool (). The tool cage () is shaped like a hollow cylinder having a longitudinal axis and an inner surface () with exclusively non-convex areas, wherein a cross-sectional shape of the tool cage () deviates from a circular shape and has at least one protruding area which is outside of an imaginary circle being centrally positioned about the longitudinal axis and touching the inner surface () while having a minimum radius. The inner surface () of the tool cage () may have a triangular shape or a square shape about the longitudinal axis. A dimensionless characteristic value and a range for the value are defined for predicting quality of performance of the device.

Device for use in a blender

The present application relates to a centrifugal separator for separating fruit or vegetable juice from fruit or vegetable pulp. The centrifugal separator comprises a body () configured to rotate about a central axis (), a chamber () formed by the body () for receiving pulp and juice, and an elongate aperture () defined by and extending arcuately around the body (). Therefore juice in the chamber () is urged to flow through the aperture () when the body () is rotated about the central axis. The present application also relates to a juicer for extracting fruit and or vegetable juice from fruit or vegetable pulp comprising a centrifugal separator.

A rotary beater is provided which comprises a drive shaft () adapted to be coupled to a drive arrangement and defining a longitudinal axis () about which the beater is rotatable. The beater has a beater body (), comprising a wire loop () which is coupled to the drive shaft () and which extends from the drive shaft in the direction of the longitudinal axis () and is led back to the drive shaft (). The wire loop () comprises a first section, (I) a second section (II) comprising two upper segments () and two lower segments (). Each upper segment () is connected to the first section (I), and to a respective lower segment () of the second section (II). The wire loop () further comprises a third section (III) for connecting the lower segments () of the second section (II). Mutually connected upper () and lower segments () of the second section (II) define a plane (xa, xb) which is substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis ().

A grating disc () arranged to be rotatably mounted within a food processor (), to rotate in a direction of rotation (), which grating disc () comprises at least one grating tooth () for grating food to be processed. The grating disc () comprises at least one groove () extending from an inner region () to an outer edge () of the grating disc () to assist in guiding food particles outwardly during use of the food processor (). With the provision of a grating disc in accordance with the present invention, improved output of processed food is accomplished in that the at least one groove with assistance of centrifugal force guides the processed food outwardly for retrieval.

A beater attachable to a drive motor for rotatingly driving the beater. The beater comprises a drive shaft having a distal end adapted to be coupled to the drive motor, and a beater head. The beater further including a beater head that is releasingly coupled to the drive shaft, so as to couple the beater head to the drive shaft along different relative positions thereof.

A blender arm includes a body equipped at one end with a connection for a power unit. The blender arm further includes a rotary shaft having a tool at the end opposite to the connection end. A peripheral protection is provided around the tool. The rotary shaft with the tool is attached movably in axial direction to the body so that the tool may be positioned in a retracted position for operation or a protracted position for cleaning, without having to touch the tool with the hands. The blender arm may further include a resilient element, functionally connected to the tubular body and the rotary shaft, for moving the rotary shaft between the protracted and retracted positions. When the rotary shaft is releases, the tool automatically returns to the retracted position.

A juice extractor (), in particular for fruit and vegetable, comprising a rotatable grating disk (), a filter sieve () surrounding the grating disk (), a feed tube () arranged above the grating disk (), and a food pusher () insertable into the feed tube () to press food, in particular fruit and vegetable, onto the grating disk (), wherein the food pusher () is hollow with an opening on its side and the feed tube () has an corresponding opening, such that pulp generated during grating food may enter the food pusher (). Separate containers for collecting pulp become thus obsolete. This allows for a more compact design of juice extractors ().

A blender arm includes a tubular body equipped at one end with a connection for a power unit. The blender arm further includes a rotary shaft having a tool at the end opposite to the connection end. A peripheral protection is provided around the tool. The rotary shaft with the tool is attached movably in axial direction to the tubular body so that the tool may be positioned in a retracted position for operation or a protracted position for cleaning, without having to touch the tool with the hands. The blender arm may further include a resilient element, functionally connected to the tubular body and the rotary shaft, for moving the rotary shaft between the protracted and retracted positions. When the rotary shaft is releases, the tool automatically returns to the retracted position.

Provided in a food processor () is a driveable holder () for a tool unit (), which tool unit () is equipped with multiple tools () and can be relocated in relation to the holder (), so that one tool () at a time from the tool unit () can be brought into an operational position in the area of a window () in a holder wall () of the holder (), and the other tools () are hereby covered by the holder wall ().

A device for chopping food, including ice, has a container with a bearing pin on its bottom. The container is divided into an upper processing zone and a lower collecting zone. For reducing the food, the processing zone accommodates a chopping tool formed by a rotary cutting blade and a tool spindle. A sieve separates the processing zone from the collecting zone. The lower end of the tool spindle is rotatably mounted on the bearing pin. A stirring tool () may be provided which is part of the chopping tool and is formed by a rotary stirring blade.
