A joint arrangement between at least one first and second component, preferably sheetlike metal component, which has in each case a top and bottom side including a joint bushing which is received in a first opening of the first component, and a joint pin which is led through the joint bushing and which has a pin head, wherein that pin section which is situated opposite the pin head and which protrudes out of the joint bushing is fastenable to the second component preferably by means of a rivet connection. The invention relates to a method for producing a riveted connection between a ball joint pin, having a pin longitudinal axis (BLA), and a component in the form of a metal sheet with an abutting portion surrounding a preliminary hole, in which the ball joint pin has at least one ball head portion an adjoining shank portion, a planar plate portion, having an upper side and an underside, and a rivet flange portion, in which the ball joint pin is connected to the component by deforming the rivet flange portion. Advantageously, in a first step, the ball joint pin is inserted into the preliminary hole by means of an inserting tool in such a way that the plate portion is supported at least in certain portions by its underside on the abutting portion of the component in the form of a metal sheet, preferably with surface-area contact. In a second step, the rivet flange portion, which at least in certain portions is in the form of a hollow cylinder, is subsequently deformed in a controlled manner in the direction of the component in the form of a metal sheet by of a forming tool in the form of a die, in particular a riveting punch, to produce the riveted connection.

The invention pertains to a rivet joint arrangement () comprising a rivet element for producing a rivet joint between at least two workpieces, particularly between at least two sheet metal components, wherein the rivet element features a rivet shaft section (that is at least sectionally realized in the form of a hollow rivet and a rivet flange arranged adjacent thereto along the longitudinal axis (LA) of the rivet element, and wherein the rivet joint is produced by at least sectionally inserting the rivet element into the two preliminary holes in the workpieces, deforming the rivet shaft section into a rivet collar and clamping the two workpieces between the rivet collar and the rivet flange. The rivet flange advantageously is separably connected to the rivet element directly or separably connected to the rivet element via a sleeve element.
