The present invention relates to elastomer toothed belts comprising a fabric spanning the teeth of the toothed belt, wherein the elastomer mixture forming the teeth contains a crosslinked ethylene-propylene rubber (EPM) and/or a crosslinked ethylene-propylene terpolymer rubber (EPDM) accounting for at least 70% by weight of the elastomer mixture based on the polymer proportion and wherein an interlayer is arranged between the fabric and the elastomer mixture forming the teeth which contains at least 70% by weight of hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (HNBR) based on the polymer proportion of the interlayer. Such elastomer toothed belts are halogen-free and feature improved durability and good low-temperature stability properties. The present invention further relates to processes for producing such elastomer toothed belts and to the use of a layer of hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (HNBR) in such toothed belts to increase service life, to improve low-temperature stability and to improve the adhesion between the teeth and the fabric.

High-performance toothed belt made of EPDM

A belt, preferably for use in a device for rotor blade adjustment on a wind turbine, includes a base body made of polymeric material and at least one strength member made of metallic material, which is embedded in the base body and running in the longitudinal direction. The belt has a first surface and a second surface situated opposite the first surface, in which at least the first surface has a reinforcing fabric. The belt has at least one sacrificial anode made of a metallic material, in which the metallic material is less noble than the metallic material of the strength member.

The invention relates to a method for producing a belt- or band-shaped component made of elastomer material, which is driven to run around under tensile stress and which has an electronic circuit or electronic device installed in the component, the component having tension members or cords which are arranged in the longitudinal direction, wherein, during the fabrication and before the vulcanization of the component blank, planar intermediate plies or strips made of material which cannot be crosslinked by vulcanization are inserted into the blank structure in subregions of the blank, wherein, after the fabrication, the blank is completely vulcanized to form the component and, where appropriate, cut or trimmed, and wherein the intermediate plies or strips are then removed from the component through correspondingly incorporated or method-intrinsically formed openings, and an electronic circuit or electronic device is introduced into the thus resulting planar empty space or interspace in the component.

Method for producing a belt- or band-shaped component having an electronic device

V-belt from an elastomeric material, composed of an in each case annular V-belt substructure and V-belt back that are connected to one another and are produced as a V-belt composite from two individually tailored and conjointly vulcanized part-blanks, specifically a first part-blank that is configured as a V-belt substructure and includes the belt profile, and a second part-blank that is configured as a wound V-belt back, wherein the V-belt has one or a plurality of tiers of reinforcing support cords and on the belt back and/or on the profile side of said V-belt has a woven fabric, wherein the reinforcing support cords are radially disposed so as to be in a circumferential plane in the V-belt back and so as to be outside the V-belt substructure.

Toothed belt drive

In a low-vibration V-belt (), consisting of at least one load carrier () and a plurality of support elements () located thereon, the damping effect is improved. The formation of the damping elements () in a radial direction above the central section and in the direction of the width of the belt substantially symmetrical to the axis of symmetry of the support element () allows both possible transversal vibrations to be simultaneously damped. The damping elements (), which consist preferably of elastomer and have high inherent damping properties, can be seated in recesses or bores () of the support elements (). The rear faces of the support elements () can have cylindrical counterforms (), which correspond in shape and position to the convex damping elements () located on the respective front faces. The edges of the convex parts () have radii or chamfers which permit the corresponding counterparts () to engage without force or impact. The V-belt can be used for the continuously variable speed and torque conversion in automotive applications.

Low-vibration hybrid V-belt

A V-belt transmits rotational movements between at least two belt pulleys and includes at least one endless load carrier and a plurality of transverse blocks mounted thereon. The load carrier is fitted into slots which extend from at least one inclined lateral surface of a block toward the center region thereof. The load carrier has a contact surface which faces a boundary surface of the slot in the block. The contact surface and the boundary surface are provided with convex and/or concave sections. To minimize losses and increase efficiency, the pressing force is reduced where the slide movement occurs. A contact region is assumed between the stretched state of the V-belt up to the state corresponding to the smallest running radius. In the entire contact region, a continuously changeable curvature or a composite of at least three sections of constant curvature is realized in such a manner that the curvature from the center of the contact region to the outer region increases.
