An adjustment device for a track conditioning unit has a measuring unit for determining a lateral offset of a rail, travelled on by a rail vehicle, relative to an effective range of a track conditioning unit or a measuring unit for determining the relative position of a bogie with respect to the rail car body. The adjustment device contains a determining unit for determining an actuation command for an actuation unit in accordance with the determined lateral offset between the effective range of the track conditioning unit and the rail. Part of the adjustment device for the track conditioning unit is also an actuation unit for actuating an actuator unit of the track-conditioning unit with an adjustment command which is generated on the basis of the actuation command. The actuator unit adjusts an effective range of the track conditioning unit on the basis of the adjustment command.

In a method for displaying quantitative magnetic resonance image data, and a processor, and a magnetic resonance (MR) apparatus that implement such a method, first quantitative MR image data of an examination object are provided to the processor, the first quantitative MR image having been obtained using an MR scanner with a first basic magnetic field strength. The first quantitative magnetic resonance image data are converted in the processor from the first basic magnetic field strength to a second basic magnetic field strength, thereby generating second quantitative MR image data, which are then displayed.

A method of acquiring magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data from an MRI scan of an object includes generating a number of excitation sequences by, in order: generating an excitation pulse, generating an imaging magnetic field gradient, and generating a spoiler magnetic field gradient. MRI data is acquired during the generation of the spoiler magnetic field gradients. The spoiler magnetic field gradients are selected such that, during each excitation sequence, substantially the same k-space trajectory is traversed during the generation of the spoiler magnetic field gradient.

A system for generating medical image scanner configurations includes a scanner configuration database and a simulation component. The database stores a scanner configuration dataset corresponding to a medical image scanner. The simulation component includes a display module which is configured to present a graphical user interface (GUI) utilized by the medical image scanner, and an editing module which is configured to create a modified scanner configuration dataset based on commands received from a user via the GUI. Additionally, the simulation component includes a simulation module which is configured to (i) perform a simulation of the medical image scanner using the modified scanner configuration dataset to yield simulated results, (ii) use the display module to present the simulated results in the GUI, and (iii) in response to receiving user approval of the simulated results via the GUI, save the modified scanner configuration dataset to the database.

A chassis for a rail vehicle includes a chassis frame supported on at least first and second wheelsets and one A-frame linkage per wheelset on both sides of the chassis for horizontal axle guidance of the wheelset. Each A-frame linkage is connected in an articulated manner to one of two axle bearings of a wheelset by a wheelset-side bearing and to the chassis frame by two frame-side bearings. At least one of the bearings per A-frame linkage has a hydraulic bushing with variable longitudinal rigidity. The hydraulic bushing has at least one fluid chamber fillable with hydraulic fluid so that in the fluid chamber a hydraulic pressure can form for adjusting longitudinal rigidity. An acceleration sensor per axle bearing measures wheelset acceleration and an adjustment device adjusts hydraulic pressure in at least one of the fluid chambers depending on the measured wheelset acceleration.

A chassis for a rail vehicle, in particular for a locomotive. A chassis frame is supported on first and second wheel sets and one triangular link per wheel set on both sides of the chassis for horizontally guiding the axle of the wheel set. An A-arm is hinged to one of two axle bearings by a wheel set-side bearing and by two frame-side bearings. The latter have elastomer bushings with a constant longitudinal and transverse rigidity. The former have hydraulic bushings with constant transverse rigidity and variable longitudinal rigidity. The bearings of each A-arm are arranged on the corners of a horizontal isosceles triangle. The tip of the triangle forms the wheel set-side bearing and the base forms the frame-side bearings. This resolves the conflicting objectives between dynamic running behaviors of the chassis when cornering and the driving stability when traveling straight ahead at a high speed.

In a method and apparatus for acquiring a magnetic resonance imaging dataset of an area to be examined of a patient by magnetic resonance data are acquired over a prespecified acquisition period which has been fixed for the acquisition process. This acquisition period is divided into a number of sub-periods. For each sub-dataset of the magnetic resonance data acquired by undersampling in a sub-period, at least one motion value describing the motion status of the area to be examined is determined, and the data subsets to be used for the reconstruction of the magnetic resonance imaging dataset are selected in dependence on the motion values in order to minimize motion artifacts.
