In a preferred embodiment, methods and systems for the control of the breathing gas supply from a pressure-leading supply conduit to one or more breathing masks of an oxygen emergency supply device in a passenger aircraft include an on/off valve arranged between the supply conduit and the one or more breathing masks. The valve can be blocked or released to control air supply based upon monitoring mass flow to the breathing masks. The valve, for example, is actuated to an open position until the error between the actual mass flow and a desired mass flow exceeds a maximal error value, whereupon the valve is actuated to a closed position until the error between the actual mass flow and the desired mass flow exceeds a minimal error value whereupon the valve is actuated to the open position and the mass flow monitoring cycle is repeated.

Method for the control of the breathing gas supply

The invention relates to a method for the control of the breathing gas supply, in particular of the oxygen supply, from a pressure-leading supply conduit () to one or more breathing masks () of an oxygen emergency supply device in an air vehicle, in particular in an aircraft, with which an on/off valve () is arranged between the supply conduit () and the one or the several breathing masks (), with which valve the conduit connection can be blocked or released, with which a desired mass flow dependent on cabin pressure is set and the actual mass flow is detected, wherein in a first method step the valve () is activated in an opening manner until the error between the actual mass flow and the desired mass flow and which is summed over time exceeds a previously fixed maximal error value (), whereupon the valve () in a second method step is activated in a closing manner until the error between the actual mass flow and the desired mass flow and which is summed over time exceeds of a previously fixed minimal error value (), whereupon the cycle is repeated beginning with the first method step.

A method for controlling the pressure and/or the flow rate of a fluid includes withdrawing flow energy from a fluid flowing through a pipeline (). This energy is converted at least partially into electrical energy and used for the electrical control () of the flow rate and/or the pressure of a fluid. The device for controlling the flow rate and/or pressure of a fluid in a pipeline () has at least one electric generator (), which is developed for the withdrawal of flow energy from a flowing fluid and for converting this energy at least partially into electrical energy. The device has a control mechanism () for controlling the flow rate and/or pressure of a fluid in a pipeline () with an electric driving mechanism supplied by the generator ().

Method and device for controlling the pressure and/or flow rate of fluid

A cockpit oxygen supply device includes at least one oxygen mask which is conductively connectable to an oxygen tank, wherein at least one throughput measurement device is arranged in the flow path of the device. A breathing activity of the pilot and/or an undesired outflow from the mask may be recognized with the help of an evaluation device.

Cockpit oxygen supply device

An emergency oxygen supply device for an aircraft comprises an oxygen pressure tank, and at least one oxygen mask which is conductively connected thereto. At least two electrically actuatable and activatable shut-off valves which are arranged parallel to one another are arranged in the conduit from the oxygen pressure tank to the at least one oxygen mask. Of these shut-off valves, at least one shut-off valve has an NO-function and at least one shut-off valve an NC-function.
