A headrest mechanism including a post extending from a headrest pad, a tubular bushing adapted to be coupled to an occupant seat, a slider assembly, and an actuator. The slider assembly is moveably positioned within the bushing and includes a block selectively moveable between a position engaged with and a position disengaged with the bushing. A post of the headrest pad is coupled to the slider assembly such that movement of the slider assembly causes the headrest pad to move.

Headrest mechanism

A head restraint positioning device is provided for a head restraint of a vehicle seat. The head restraint positioning device includes an impact device movably connected to the head restraint and arranged on a seat back of the vehicle seat in the area of a pelvis of a passenger sitting on the vehicle seat. The impact device includes at least one structural unit that varies in length in response to the application of pressure and that causes a corresponding change in length of the impact device to change the position of the head restraint.

Head rest adjustment device

Vehicle seat

The invention relates to a vehicle seat including a seat part, a backrest, and a height adjustable headrest which is displaceably guided by at least one guide rod and associated guide receivers in the backrest. An active head support system is provided through which the headrest is brought into a predetermined protection position in the event of an accident. The guide receivers are formed by a sleeve element which is inserted into a recess in the backrest.

Multiple function sleeve

The present invention involves a pelvis activated vehicle seat and headrest assembly for rear impact of a vehicle. The vehicle seat includes a seatback frame and the headrest assembly includes a pelvis activated support assembly attached to the seatback frame. The seatback frame includes an upper cross member having two side members integrally and oppositely attached on either end of the upper cross member. The side members extend downwardly and are attached to each other by a lower cross member. The support assembly includes a reaction plate and an impact target. The impact target is pivotably attached proximate the bottom portion of the seatback frame. The reaction plate is pivotally attached to each side member by pivoting side links. The impact target is slidably connected to the reaction plate to move the headrest cushion to an actuated position forward and above a normal position.

Active headrest for a vehicle seat

A seat for a means of transport, in particular a vehicle seat, comprising a seat part, a backrest, a backrest adjustment system ( ) which connects the backrest to the seat part and which permits a forward pivoting of the backrest onto the seat part, a height adjustable headrest which is displaceably guided via at least one guide rod ( ) in an associated guide receiver ( ) in the backrest, and retaining means ( ) which are effective between at least one guide rod ( ) and the associated guide receiver ( ) and through which the guide rod ( ) is releasably fixable at different heights against displacement, wherein, for avoiding a collision of the headrest with the vehicle roof, the guide receiver ( ) for the guide rod ( ) is formed so as to be retractable together with the guide rod ( ) opposite to the extension direction (VI) of the headrest inwards into the backrest into a recessed position and back out again while the guide rod ( ) is arrested by the retaining means ( ) relative to the guide receiver ( ); and wherein means are provided through which an automatic inward movement of the guide receiver ( ) is caused by the forward pivoting of the backrest and an automatic outward movement of the guide receiver ( ) back into its original position is caused when the backrest is pivoted back.

Seat for a means of transport

A child seat, in particular for a motor vehicle, has a seat-surface structure, which extends generally in a longitudinal direction and defines the seat surface, and a backrest. One part of the seat-surface structure can be adjusted and secured in the longitudinal direction relative to those remaining parts of the seat-surface structure which define the seat surface. A substructure that carries the seat-surface structure is operative so that the inclination of the seat-surface structure can be adjusted relative to the substructure. A belt-retaining device is carried by the backrest and operative in one operating mode to clamp the seatbelt, in response to the seatbelt traveling in a first pulling direction, and to release the seatbelt, in response to the seatbelt traveling in a second pulling direction. In another operating mode, the belt-retaining device loosely surrounds the seatbelt.
