The disclosure relates to a vehicle camera system, including two pairs of cameras. A first pair of cameras is arranged at the left side portion of the vehicle cabin and a second pair of cameras is arranged at the right side portion of the cabin. The cameras of the first and second pair of cameras are arranged one above the other in a vertical direction. The first and second pairs of cameras build rear-viewing stereo camera systems for providing image and distance information of areas on the left and right sides of the vehicle, respectively. The cameras of the first and second pair of cameras are arranged by one or more spacers at the vehicle cabin, the spacers providing a lateral distance of the cameras to the vehicle cabin. The cameras of each pair of cameras have a vertical distance of at least 0.5 m.

Rear-view stereo camera system

A system includes photodetectors each having a field of view and reflectors each respectively aimed at one of the fields of view. A beam-steering device is movable to different positions aimed at the different reflectors. A light emitter is aimed at the beam-steering device. The beam-steering device alternates aim between the reflectors to selectively illuminate the different fields of view.

Lidar system including light emitter for multiple receiving units

A LIDAR system includes a transmitter unit constructed and arranged to generate light and a photodetector structure for detecting received, reflected light. An actively tunable narrow band optical filter structure is located upstream of the photodetector structure to filter out wavelengths of light associated with sunlight prior to being received by the photodetector structure. The filter structure is constructed and arranged to change optical filtering thereof so as to change wavelengths of light permitted to pass there-through. A photodiode detects light passing through the filter structure. A control unit is associated with the photodiode and the filter structure and is constructed and arranged such that based on the light detected by the photodiode, the control unit can cause the filter structure to change the optical filtering thereof by heating or rotating the filter structure so as to compensate for drifting or broadening of a wavelength of the transmitter unit.

Wavelength adaptive narrow band optical filter for a LIDAR system

A lidar sensor assembly includes a detector array having a plurality of photodetectors. An integrated circuit is bonded to the detector array via a plurality of connection bumps. A reference trace is defined by conductive material on at least one of the integrated circuit and the detector array. A test trace is defined by conductive material on the detector array, at least two of the connection bumps, and conductive material on the integrated circuit. A resistance measuring device is configured to independently measure a reference resistance along the reference trace and a test resistance along the test trace. The assembly also includes a processor in communication with the resistance measuring device. The processor is configured to receive the reference resistance and the test resistance, subtract the reference resistance from the test resistance to produce a bond resistance, and compare the bond resistance to a predetermined resistance value.
