Partial webs are separated in a slitter-winder. The partial webs (WP) are separated by spreading in a spreading device having at least a first, bowed spreader roll () fitted at one side of the partial webs (WP) and a second, bowed spreader roll () fitted at the opposite side of the partial webs. The partial webs (WP) are guided over the bowed spreader rolls () so that the wrap angles (B, B) over the spreader rolls () are substantially unequal. The partial webs (WP) are guided to the first spreader roll () in a lead-in direction (Dinxy) in the XY-direction and the partial webs are guided from the second spreader roll () in a lead-out direction (Doutxy) in the XY-direction such that the lead-in direction (Dinxy) and the lead-out direction are substantially divergent.

Method for separating partial webs in a slitter winder

A method and apparatus for winding fiber webs, particularly paper and board webs, in which partial web rolls (R, R) are wound in a winding device having at least two winding stations (), where partial webs (W, W) are guided to rolls (R, R) via a nip between a winding roll(s) () and the partial web rolls (R, R). The partial webs (W, W) are guided on the surface of the winding roll(s) () before entering the nips creating a wrap angle (A, A) on the winding drum(s) (). The wrap angles (A, A) of the partial webs onto the surface of the winding roll () is at least 120&#xb0; and the wrap angle ratio, i.e. the relation of the larger wrap angle to the smaller wrap angle, is at least 1 and at most 1.25.

Method and device for winding of fiber webs, especially of paper and board webs

A support arrangement () of a roll of a fibrous-web machine, has a first frame part () in which the roll () of the fibrous-web machine is supportable from its end when in use and a second frame part () in which the first frame part () is fastened by means of an elastic fastening. The arrangement has a motion direction control arrangement () for controlling the direction of the motion allowed by the elastic fastening in a way determined by the direction control arrangement ().

In paper winding, separate rolls are formed side by side around roll cores () placed one after the other while supported by support members. The cores are pressed at their ends against one another by core chucks () arranged in connection with the free ends of the outermost roll cores (). The roll cores () are placed in a desired position and subjected to a desired compression force by the core chucks (), the length of the row of roll cores () is determined, and the compression force of at least one core chuck () is regulated during winding when the length of the roll core row changes to keep the compression force and/or the length of the roll core row within desired limits.

Method and device for winding a paper or board web

A web is wound onto a core () while supported by winding drums (). The web is cut by a cutting device (), and a finished web roll () is removed by a transfer device (). A new core () is moved to a space between the winding drums (), and the winding is stopped to remove the finished roll () and to start a new roll. The core is moved onto support of one winding drum and a support member () and held in place by the support member () until the movable winding drum () has been moved to the starting position of winding.
