An apparatus and method is provided for analyzing a breathing gas flowing along a breathing tubing for subject breathing. The breathing gas comprises breathing cycles having different phases. Liquid particles can be delivered intermittently depending on the phase, or continuously into the breathing gas. The apparatus comprises a gas sample supplier for adjusting gas sample supply from the breathing gas, and a gas analyzer for receiving the gas sample adjusted by the gas sample supplier and for measuring the gas sample property. The apparatus further comprises a processing unit for receiving a signal indicative of one of the phases of the breathing cycle and the delivery timing of the liquid particles. The processing unit is able to control the sample supplier based on the signal to limit access of liquid particles with the gas sample towards the gas analyzer.

Apparatus, arrangement and method for analyzing breathing gas flowing along breathing tubing for subject breathing

A sensor for measuring a concentration of a respiratory gas component is disclosed herein. The sensor comprises at least one radiation source configured to emit radiation and at least one radiation sensing detector configured to receive radiation and provide a signal indicative of the concentration of the gas component. The sensor further comprises an electronics board configured to receive and process the signal to determine the concentration, and an energy storage device configured to supply energy to the radiation source. The electronics board is configured to choose from among at least two different modes, one being an operation mode allowing sufficient energy supply to the radiation source, and another being a rest mode allowing reduced energy supply compared to the operation mode to limit radiation for saving energy within the breathing cycle. A gas analyzer and method for measuring a concentration of a respiratory gas component are also provided.

Sensor, gas analyzer and method for measuring concentration of at least one respiratory gas component

A branching unit for delivering a respiratory gas of a subject is disclosed herein. The branching unit includes a first limb for delivering an expiratory gas during an expiratory phase and a second limb for delivering an inspiratory gas during an inspiratory phase. The branching unit also includes a third limb connecting with the first limb and the second limb for delivering both said expiratory gas and said inspiratory gas and at least one port for a medical appliance.

Branching unit for delivering respiratory gas of a subject

A gas analyzer for measuring at least two components of a gas is disclosed herein. The gas analyzer comprising an emitter configured to emit infrared radiation through the gas, a filter assembly configured to permit a transmission of predetermined wavelengths emitted by the emitter, and a detector configured to receive wavelengths emitted by the emitter and penetrated through the filter assembly. The filter assembly comprises at least two tunable narrowband interference filters in series, each of the filters comprising two dielectric mirrors and an air space between the two dielectric mirrors to tune one of the filters to different transmission band than another of the filters.

Gas analyzer for measuring at least two components of a gas

An apparatus for discharging fluid for a subject breathing. The apparatus includes a fluid cavity for conveying a fluid to be discharged; a valve for guiding the flow of fluid through the fluid cavity; a control unit for controlling the valve for guiding the flow of fluid; a first housing having a wall and a hole on this wall for fluid flowing through the fluid cavity; a first member apart from the first housing having holes discharging fluid through them for the subject breathing; a chamber between the first member and the first housing for receiving the fluid coming along the fluid cavity; a vibrator making the first member to vibrate and discharge fluid through the holes to a subject breathing tube. The vibrator is in contact with the first member through a transmitter extending towards the chamber and which transmitter transmits the vibration effect from the vibrator to the first member.

Device for delivery and regulation of volatile fluids into inspiratory gas

A method and interface for cooling electronics that generate heat are provided. The interface includes a housing having tubing (i) therein to transfer heat from liquid flowing in the tubing and (ii) extending therefrom and configured to engage a pump. The tubing forms a closed circulation path. The interface further includes an electrical connection member configured to provide electrical connection through the housing and to the electronics.
