A scrubber for exhaust gas cleaning onboard a marine vessel, comprising a scrubber shell () forming a scrubber chamber; and a tubular pipe () running through the scrubber shell for feeding scrubber liquid into the scrubber chamber; a concave bowl () for connecting the tubular pipe to the scrubber shell, the concave bowl having the shape of a solid of revolution, and the shape curving smoothly from the rim () of the concave bowl to the bottom () of the concave bowl. The tubular pipe runs through the bottom of the concave bowl in such a way that the bottom encircles the tubular pipe, and the tubular pipe and the bottom are connected to each other. The concave bowl is placed in an opening () in the scrubber shell in such a way that the scrubber shell encircles the rim of the concave bowl, and the scrubber shell and the rim are connected to each other.

Scrubber for exhaust gas cleaning

A system for producing aqueous sulphuric acid is provided, the system including a first heat exchanger configured to cool aqueous sulphuric for producing cooled aqueous sulphuric acid; a pre-cooling unit comprising an inlet or inlets for receiving the gas containing sulphur trioxide and the cooled aqueous sulphuric acid, an outlet for letting out aqueous sulphuric acid and the gas containing sulphur trioxide, and a first nozzle for spraying the cooled aqueous sulphuric acid onto the gas containing sulphur trioxide. The system further includes a condensation tower comprising a first inlet for receiving the cooled gas containing sulphur trioxide and aqueous sulphuric acid from the pre-cooling unit and means for circulating the aqueous sulphuric acid within the condensation tower by spraying. An associated method and pre-cooling unit suitable for cooling gas comprising sulphur trioxide from at least 400&#xb0; C. to at most 150&#xb0; C. are also provided.

System and a method for producing aqueous sulphuric acid

A method of scrubbing flue gases of two or more diesel engines and a scrubber for scrubbing flue gases of two or more diesel engines. The scrubber () comprises scrubbing means () for scrubbing the flue gases, and conduits () for conveying the flue gases to said scrubbing means () to be scrubbed in the same scrubbing process. The different flue gas flows are arranged to be conveyed in separate conduits () all the way to the scrubbing means ().
