Water-soluble yellow azo dyes

The invention relates to an aqueous pigment preparation containing an organic and/or inorganic pigment dispersed in an acrylate resin solution and a dispersion agent. The preparation is characterized in that the acrylate resin is a copolymer consisting essentially of between 50 and 80 mol % of monoalkenyl aromatic compounds and between 20 and 50 mol % of acrylates, and has an average molar mass Mof between 1,000 and 50,000 g/mol, and in that the dispersion agent is a compound of formula (I): R&#x2014;O&#x2014;(CH-CH&#x2014;O)&#x2014;CH&#x2014;COOM, wherein R is a C-Calkyl radical or a C-Calkenyl radical, m is a number between 1 and 15, and M is a monovalent cation.

Pigments dispersions based on water and acrylate

The invention relates to a colorant composition that substantially comprises a colorant of formula (1) and a colorant formula (2) or (3). The magenta colorant mixture is advantageously used in ink-jet printing and yields storage-stable and water-proof ink formulations.

The invention relates to a dye mixture consisting essentially of one dye of formula (4) and a dye of formula (5). The black dye mixture is advantageously used for ink jet printing and provides high light-resisting and neutral black ink formulations

The invention relates to aqueous colorant preparations containing A) between 0.1 and 50 wt. % of at least one organic and/or inorganic pigment and/or at least one organic colorant. B) between 0.01 and 80 wt. % of at least one naphthol-oxyalkylate sulfopropyl ether, one alkanol-oxyalkylate sulfopropyl ether or one alkylphenol-oxyalkylate sulfopropyl ether. C) between 0 and 30 wt. % of at least one organic solvent. D) between 0 and 20 wt. % of other standard derivatives and E) between 10 and 90 wt % of water, respectively in relation to the total weight (100%) of the colorant preparation. The colorant preparation is used, for example, in printing inks, especially ink jet printing inks.

The present invention relates to the use of a CuPc composition consisting essentially of CuPc, e.g., C.I. Pigment Blue 15:3, and a hydroxymethylphthalimido CuPc, as a colorant in electrophotographic toners and developers, powders and powder coating materials, electret materials, inkjet inks, and color filters, wherein the phthalocyanines have a particle morphology with an average length-to-width ratio of more than 2.5:1.
