An electronic device including a base member having a touch area defined inside a first closed-shape, the first closed-shape being a first imaginary line, and a peripheral area disposed adjacent to the touch area and defined outside the first closed-shape, and a touch sensor including a plurality of patterns disposed in the touch area to sense a touch from outside and a driving line disposed in the peripheral area and connected to a pattern disposed adjacent to the first closed-shape. The touch area includes a first area defined inside a second closed-shape being a second imaginary line defined in the touch area, and a second area defined outside the second closed-shape and surrounded by the first closed-shape, and an edge pattern disposed in the second area having an area substantially equal to or greater than approximately one-half of an area of a center pattern disposed in the first area.

A display apparatus including a display panel, a polarizing member disposed on the display panel and having an absorption axis and a transmission axis perpendicular to each other, and a touch electrode disposed on the display panel, overlapping the polarizing member, and extending in a first direction crossing an absorption axis direction parallel to the absorption axis, in which the touch electrode includes touch patterns and a connection pattern connecting the adjacent touch patterns in the first direction, the connection pattern has a minimum width in a direction perpendicular to a second direction crossing the first direction, the first direction and the absorption axis direction form a first directional angle equal to or less than substantially 90 degrees, the first direction and the second direction form a second directional angle equal to or less than substantially 90 degrees, and the first directional angle is equal to the second directional angle.

Display apparatus

An electronic apparatus includes a display unit including a display panel and a display circuit board connected to the display panel. An input sensing unit includes a touch panel which includes an active area and a peripheral area adjacent to the active area and includes sensor patterns disposed in the active area, and a touch circuit board connected to the peripheral area of the touch panel. A polarizing film is disposed on the input sensing unit and is configured to polarize incident light. A step-difference compensation member is disposed between the polarizing film and the input sensing unit and includes a main portion overlapping the active area and a plurality of slit portions disposed between the main portion and the touch circuit board.

The first touch electrode includes first touch patterns and a connection pattern connecting adjacent first touch patterns in the first direction. The connection pattern has a minimum width in a direction perpendicular to a second direction. The first direction and the absorption axis direction form a first directional angle equal to or less than about 90 degrees. The first and second directions form a second directional angle equal to or less than about 90 degrees. The second and absorption axis directions form a third directional angle equal to or less than about 90 degrees. The first directional angle is the sum of the second directional angle and the third directional angle.

Display apparatus having a crack resistance structure

A display apparatus includes a display panel configured to display an image, a window member on the display panel and including a display area for transmitting the image, and a non-display area adjacent the display area, and a touch panel between the display panel and the window member, the touch panel including a touch sensor corresponding to the display area and including a sensor part and a connection part and a signal line including a connection part coupled to and overlapping the connection part of the touch sensor, and a line part coupled to the connection part of the signal line, wherein the connection part of the touch sensor and the connection part of the signal line define a plurality of mesh holes.

Touch panel and display apparatus having the same

A touch screen panel includes a touch substrate, first sensing electrodes, second sensing electrodes, and outer lines. The touch substrate includes a touch active area and a touch non-active area. The first and second sensing electrodes are disposed in the touch active area and insulated from each other while crossing each other. Each first sensing electrode includes a first sensing metal layer and a first transparent sensing electrode layer. Each second sensing electrode includes a second sensing metal layer and a second transparent sensing electrode layer. Each outer line includes a first outer metal layer, a transparent outer electrode layer, and a second outer metal layer.
