A method of transmitting a frame is provided by a device in a WLAN. The device sets as additional data subcarriers some of subcarriers which are not set as data subcarriers in at least part of fields included in a frame of a legacy frame format, and allocates information to the additional data subcarriers.

Frame transmitting method and frame receiving method

A method is described for a wireless device, which includes determining padding for a sub-physical layer (PHY) protocol data unit (sub-PPDU) in an aggregated PPDU (APPDU). The method includes generating the sub-PPDU that includes a preamble portion and a data portion, determining a longest sub-PPDU for the APPDU to be transmitted, determining an amount and type of padding for the sub-PPDU where the sub-PPDU in not the longest sub-PPDU in the APPDU, adding padding to the sub-PPDU to align the end of the sub-PPDU with the end of the longest sub-PPUD, and transmitting the sub-PPDU through a wireless medium on a transmission channel to a receiving device as part of the APPDU.

Padding method for aggregated PPDU in enhancement of IEEE 802.11AX

A method is described for communicating in a network. The method includes setting a type bit in a frame to indicate whether the frame is scheduling an uplink transmission for only a first set of stations in the wireless network or the first set of stations and a second set of stations in the wireless network and transmitting the frame to (1) all stations in the first set of stations when the type bit indicates that the trigger frame is scheduling the uplink transmission for the first set of stations and (2) all stations in the second set of stations when the type bit indicates that the trigger frame is scheduling the uplink transmission for the first set of stations and the second set of stations.

Signaling method for multiplexing different amendment devices in an enhanced wireless local area network

A method performed by a wireless device functioning as a beamformee station in a wireless network to perform a sounding procedure. The method includes wirelessly receiving a null data packet (NDP) announcement frame from a beamformer station, wherein the NDP announcement frame includes an indication of whether the beamformee station should acknowledge the NDP announcement frame and responsive to determining that the NDP announcement frame includes an indication that the beamformee station should acknowledge the NDP announcement frame, wirelessly transmitting an acknowledgement frame for the NDP announcement frame to the beamformer station.

Frame exchange method for beamforming

A method is described for communicating in a network. The method includes setting a type bit in a frame to indicate whether the frame is scheduling an uplink transmission for a first set of stations or a first and second set of stations; configuring a common information field of the frame for (1) the first set of stations for the transmission and (2) when the type bit indicates, the second set of stations for the transmission; configuring a set of user information fields of the frame for (1) the first set of stations for the transmission and (2) when the type bit indicates, the second set of stations for the transmission; and transmitting the frame to (1) the first set of stations and (2) the second set of stations when the type bit indicates that the frame is scheduling for the first and second set of stations.

A method by a wireless device functioning as a beamformer station in a wireless network to perform a sounding procedure. The method includes generating a NDPA frame, wherein the NDPA frame includes a sounding dialog token field, wherein bit Bof the sounding dialog token field is set to binary '1' and bit Bof the sounding dialog token field is set to binary '1' to indicate that the NDPA frame is an extremely high throughput (EHT) NDPA frame and wirelessly transmitting the NDPA frame to one or more beamformee stations. The NDPA frame may include an indication of whether a beamformee station should acknowledge the NDP announcement frame or not. The NDPA frame may be transmitted in a first frequency band, while a beamformed data frame is transmitted in a second frequency band that is a higher frequency band than the first frequency band.

A method for transmitting a frame is provided by a device in a wireless communication network. The device compensates a carrier frequency using a value of carrier frequency offset (CFO), and transmits a frame with the compensated carrier frequency to a receiver. The value of the CFO is indicated in TXVECTOR. A method for transmitting a frame is provided by a device in a wireless communication network. A method of transmitting a frame by a device in a wireless communication network is provided. The device generates a first symbol having a first subcarrier spacing where a symbol duration of the first symbol, excluding a guard interval, has a first length. The device generates a second symbol having a second subcarrier spacing narrower than the first subcarrier spacing wherein a symbol duration of the second symbol, excluding a guard interval, has a second length that is twice the first length. The device transmits a frame including the first symbol and the second symbol.

A method of transmitting a frame is provided by a first device in a WLAN. The first device transmits a first frame including bandwidth information of a first channel to a second device and performs a communication with the second device through the first channel. The first channel is selected from among a plurality of channels into which an entire channel width is divided. An Acknowledgment (ACK) method is provided by a receiving device in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). An ACK information field for a data unit satisfying a first condition among the plurality of ACK information fields includes a Traffic Identifier (TID) and a block ACK bitmap indicating whether the data unit has been successfully received. An ACK information field for a data unit satisfying a second condition and having been successfully received among the plurality of ACK information fields includes the first TID and does not include a block ACK bitmap.
