A method of testing a display device including a display panel which displays an image and a driver which drives the display panel including measuring a driving operating current in a state where the driver is enabled and the display panel is disabled, and determining whether the driver is defective, based on the driving operating current and measuring a display operating current in a state where the driver and the display panel are enabled, and determining whether the display panel is defective, based on the display operating current.

Method of testing display device

A display device includes a display panel, a first circuit board, a control unit disposed on the first circuit board, a second circuit board, and a coupling film which electrically couples the control unit and the second circuit board to each other. The coupling film includes a first coupling part including a first region attached to the first circuit board, and a second region overlapping the display panel when viewed in a thickness direction of the display panel, a second coupling part including a third region attached to the second circuit board, and a fourth region overlapping the display panel when viewed in the thickness direction of the display panel, and a third coupling part coupled to each of the second region and the fourth region to electrically couple the first coupling part and the second coupling part to each other.

A display panel driver includes a timing controller and a data driver. The timing controller generates a data signal based on an input image data. The data driver receives the data signal, converts the data signal into a data voltage and outputs the data voltage to a display panel. The data signal includes positive data and negative data. The data driver includes a data skew compensating circuit which samples the positive data using the negative data and compensates a skew of the data signal.

A display device includes a display panel including gate lines, data lines, and pixels each connected to a corresponding gate line and a corresponding data line, a gate driver configured to drive the gate lines, a data driver configured to drive the data lines, and a timing controller configured to generate control signals to control the data driver and to apply a vertical synchronization start signal including a first pulse, a second pulse, a first gate pulse signal, and a second gate pulse signal to the gate driver. The gate driver applies gate driving signals to the gate lines to pre-charge the pixels in response to the first pulse of the vertical synchronization start signal and the first gate pulse signal, and to main-charge the pixels in response to the second pulse of the vertical synchronization start signal and the second gate pulse signal.

Display device

A display apparatus includes a timing controller, a data driver, and display panel. The timing controller outputs a plurality of image signals, a first control signal, and a second control signal. The data driver converts the image signals to first voltages in response to the first control signal, outputs the first voltages, and outputs a second voltage swinging between two different voltage levels in at least one frame unit in response to the second control signal. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels, where each receives a corresponding one of the first voltages and the second voltage to display an image.
