The present invention relates to a laundry machine for treating laundry. One embodied laundry machine may have an opening in the rear of the tub. A flexible material is connected between the drive assembly and the rear opening of the tub for sealing therebetween. The flexible material allows the drive assembly to move or vibrate relatively to the tub. The flexible material may be referred to as a flexible sealer.

The present invention relates to a laundry machine for treating laundry. The present application relates to a laundry machine for washing laundry, including a tub for holding washing water, the tub including at least one fastener for fastening and wiring a wire harness along an outside surface thereof, a drum in the tub for holding laundry, a rotation shaft connected to a rear surface of the drum, a tub back which forms a rear side of the tub and through which the rotation shaft passes, a bearing housing for supporting the rotation shaft, a rear gasket connected between the tub and the tub back, and a suspension unit for supporting the bearing housing.

A drum type washing machine is provided. The washing machine may include a tub, a drum, a motor rotating the drum, bearing housings housing bearings to support a rotation shaft, a suspension connected to the bearing housings and a cabinet to mitigate vibration, a bracket coupled to the bearing housings, and a gasket installed between the bracket and the tub. Such an arrangement may allow volumes of the tub and the drum may be increased without increasing the volume of the cabinet.

Drum-type washing machine and bearing housing structure thereof

A drum type washing machine is provided. The washing machine may include a tub fixed to a cabinet, a drum rotatably provided in the drum, a motor rotating the drum, bearings provided in a bearing housing to support a rotation shaft connecting the motor to the drum, and a suspension coupled between the bearing housings and the cabinet to mitigate vibration generated as the drum rotates. A bracket may be coupled to a rear side of the bearing housing to form a rear end of the tub, and a gasket may be installed between the bracket and the tub to form a seal therebetween and prevent transmission of vibration from the bracket to the tub. This arrangement may allow for an increased capacity drum within a fixed volume cabinet.

A drum-type washing machine is disclosed, in which bearings are received in the bearing housing assembly. The bearing housing assembly may include a support portion coupled to a motor, and a coupling portion connected to a damper bracket.

Drum-type washing machine

A drum type washing machine including a tub installed in a cabinet is disclosed. The drum type washing machine includes a drum performing washing, a motor rotating the drum, bearing housings having bearings to support a rotation shaft, a suspension connected to the bearing housings and the cabinet to mitigate vibration generated during rotation of the drum, a bracket installed to the bearing housings to form the rear side of the tub, and a gasket installed between the bracket and the tub to seal the tub and to prevent vibration from being transmitted from the bracket to the tub. Volumes of the tub and the drum can be easily increased without increasing the volume of the cabinet. Even when the volume of the washing machine is changed, only one of the tub and the bearing housings, which is not applicable to the drum type washing machine having the changed washing capacity, is selectively replaced. Thus parts can commonly used in various drum type washing machine having different volume.
