An apparatus and method of converting an address and data of a memory in a terminal. The apparatus includes a random key generator configured to generate a new random key, each time the terminal is powered on, an address mapper configured to convert an address of a memory area for data writing or reading using the random key and transmit the converted address to a data converter, and the data converter configured to convert data to be written to the memory using the converted address and convert data to read from the memory using the converted address to original data.

A method of managing a memory in an electronic device is provided that includes calculating an indication of remaining life of a memory component that is used as a swap space by the electronic device; and adjusting the use of the memory component as a swap space based on the indication of remaining life, wherein the adjusting includes one of: (i) reducing a rate at which data is swapped in and out of the memory component, and (ii) discontinuing the use of the memory component as a swap space.

Method and apparatus for managing memory

The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method capable of carrying out data movement in a memory of a terminal. The apparatus includes a processor configured to transmit a command for data movement and address information for data movement in a memory to the memory, and the memory configured to perform the data movement in units of word line in the memory by using the address information, in response to reception of the command for moving the data.
