Disclosed is a wireless communication system using multiple transmission and reception points. In a wireless communication system having a first transmission and reception point and at least one second transmission and reception point belonging to the same cell, the first transmission and reception point has a wider transmission area than the at least one second transmission and reception point, and the first transmission and reception point and the at least one second transmission and reception point generate downlink transmission signals by using the same physical layer cell ID or virtual cell IDs allocated to each terminal, and then the terminals generate uplink transmission signals by using the allocated virtual cell IDs.

Wireless communication system using multiple transmission and reception points

The present invention relates a method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving data using multiple codewords in a communication system using SC-FDMA (single carrier frequency division multiple access). A transmitter generates the multiple codewords for user data and transmits the generated multiple codewords. A receiver receives the multiple codewords and sequentially performs decoding and SIC (successive interference cancellation) on the received multiple codewords. Therefore, this structure can minimize a PAPR (peak to average power ratio) and considerably reduces interference between symbols in a frequency selective fading environment.

Method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving multiple codewords in SC-FDMA system

Disclosed are a base station, a relay station, and a terminal according to a method for designing a cellular system for improving resource usage efficiency by reducing interference between relay stations and interference between the base station and the relay station. The relay station gets control signals that terminals served by the base station transmit, and registers terminals, levels of the control signals of which are bigger than a predetermined value, to a list of the interference terminals. The relay station checks an interference resource through resource allocation information of the base station, checks an available resource corresponding to a resource except the interference resource among a resource allocated by the base station, and allocates some of the available resource to the terminal.

Relay station, terminal and base station in cellular system, and method for relaying between terminal and base station

Disclosed is a cooperative relay station that relays between a base station and a mobile station when retransmitting a signal. Also, disclosed is a base station that receives a signal from a mobile station in mutual cooperation with the cooperative relay station. After the cooperative relay station receives and decodes a signal that the mobile station transmits to the base station or a service relay station, if an error of the decoded signal does not exist, it stores the received signal. If an error occurs when the base station decodes the signal that the mobile station transmits, the base station requests retransmission for the signal with the error to the cooperative relay station. If the cooperative relay station gets a request of retransmission, it transmits the signal that the base station requests to the base station. In this was, since an error rate may be reduced when the base station requests retransmission of the signal, resource reuse efficiency may become improved, interference may be reduced, and it is easy to adapt to a service being sensitive to time delay.

Method for relaying between a base station and a mobile station

A communication resource allocation method for solving resource request imbalance content in a cell is provided. Considering a propagation environment, the base station allocates a whispering resource to a whispering area, the whispering resource being one part of the communication resource and the whispering area being a peripheral area of the first base station, and allocates a speaking resource to a speaking area, the speaking resource being other parts of the communication resource and the speaking area being a border area of a cell. When the resource request of the whispering area is increased, the base station further allocates a part of the speaking resource to the whispering area or increases a ratio of the whispering resource. When the resource request of the speaking area is increased, the base station controls a threshold value for identifying the whispering and speaking areas or increases a ratio of the speaking resource.

Communication resource allocation method of base station

Provided are a dynamic resource allocation method based on frequency reuse partitioning for an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system, and a frame transmission method therefor. The dynamic resource allocation method includes: a) dividing a coverage into cells based on frequency reuse partitioning; b) selecting a candidate user to receive a channel allocated thereto based on the ratio; c) acquiring distance information for the candidate user; and d) checking whether the candidate user is in an inner or outer cell area based on the distance information. If the candidate user is in the inner cell area, a subchannel group among subchannel groups having a Frequency Reuse Factor (FRF) lower than a threshold value is selected and subcarriers of the selected subchannel group is allocated. If the candidate user is in the outer cell area, a subchannel group among subchannel groups having a FRF higher than the threshold value is selected.

Dynamic resource allocation method based on frequency reuse partitioning for OFMDA/FDD system, and frame transmission method therefor

A resource division, allocation, and transmitting/receiving method of downlink for reducing inter-cell interference in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system are provided. Entire downlink radio resources are divided into a traffic resource group for a traffic channel and a control resource group for a control channel, the traffic resource group is divided into a first traffic resource group for the intra-cell mobile terminals and a second traffic resource group for a cell-boundary mobile terminal, and a part of the first traffic resource group is imaginarily divided into a (1&#x2212;1)-th preliminary traffic resource group, the (1&#x2212;1)-th preliminary traffic resource group being a preliminary resource group for the cell-boundary mobile terminal. The control resource group is allocated to a control channel for the intra-cell mobile terminal; and a resource of the first traffic resource group or the second traffic resource group is allocated to a traffic channel for the mobile terminal according to inter-cell interference affected to the mobile terminal. Radio resources may be reused in each downlink cell of the OFDM system, the traffic may be rapidly transmitted to the cell boundary mobile terminal, a system capacity may be increased, the cell plane may be easily performed, and the system capacity may not be decreased although the mobile terminal number, locations, and traffic density is not uniform.

Method for resource partition, assignment, transmission and reception for inter-cell interference migration in downlink of OFDM cellular systems

Provided are an apparatus and method for generating channel information and apparatus and method for adaptive transmission employing the same. The channel information generation apparatus comprises an estimator for estimating current channel information of a multi-carrier received signal for each path, a short-period channel information generator for predicting channel information after a predetermined minimum transmission delay time based on the current channel information estimated by the estimator to generate short-period channel information, and a long-period channel information generator for deriving statistic information of error between the channel information predicted by the short-period channel information generator and actual channel information at the time of transmission to produce long-period channel information. The invention is applied to mobile communication systems using multi-carrier.

Apparatus and method for generating channel information and apparatus and method for adaptive transmission employing the same

This invention is concerned with a transmission control method and apparatus in a collision interval for a collision of multidimensional hopping patterns. In the present invention, each orthogonal wireless resource in the coordinate of the multidimensional orthogonal resource can hop according to the hopping pattern negotiated between a transmitter and a receiver, and each corresponding channel is distinguished by the hopping pattern. A specific multidimensional hopping pattern is allocated to each secondary station. The hopping pattern is either permanently allocated to the secondary stations or temporarily allocated from the primary station during a call set-up. The permanent allocation of the hopping pattern to the secondary stations is achieved when the hopping pattern is identified based on a unique identifier, such as ESN of the secondary station. The hopping patterns of the secondary stations are mutually independent so that the coordinates of the same orthogonal resource is allocated to different secondary stations in a simultaneous manner in a specific moment. Through this invention, in order to improve the performance of the multidimensional resource hopping multiplexing system, refining transmission and perforation mechanisms for the collisions of multidimensional resource hopping patterns can reduce the overall perforation probability.
