An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display device includes a substrate including a circular arc portion and a driving circuit connecting portion connected to the top of the circular arc portion. A circular display area is formed in the circular arc portion. The display area includes a number of OLED pixels, where each OLED pixel connected to one of a number of power lines. A driving power supply line provides a driving voltage for the OLED pixels. The driving power supply line includes a circular shape and is formed around the display area. A number of power sharing lines extend from a lower area of the driving power supply line, where each of the power sharing lines is connected to a different subset of the power lines.

Power sharing lines for powering a small form factor OLED display device

Disclosed is a liquid crystal display device, a fabricating method, and a driving method thereof that includes at least one integrated photosensor that senses external light illumination on the liquid crystal display device. A sensing signal from the at least one photosensors are converted into a digital signal that is stored to represent an external illumination distribution. The liquid crystal display device includes a backlight that has a plurality of light sources that may be independently driven. A controller generates a control signal that independently drives the light sources in a manner corresponding to the illumination distribution. In doing so, areas of the liquid crystal display device may be provided with a greater amount of light from a corresponding light source so that externally illuminated areas of the liquid crystal display device do not suffer from reduced contrast.

A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel, a backlight unit, a first sensor, and a second sensor. The liquid crystal display panel includes a first substrate divided into a display region and a non-display region including a first region and a second region, a liquid crystal layer, and a second substrate. The backlight unit is disposed opposite a surface of the first substrate to emit light onto the liquid crystal display panel. The first sensor is disposed in the first region to sense ambient light, and the second sensor is disposed in the second region to sense light emitted from the backlight unit.

The photo sensing device is drive by a driving voltage other than the data voltage.
