A display device includes an emission area and a subarea located at a side of the emission area in a first direction, a first electrode extending in the first direction across the emission area and the subarea, a second electrode spaced from the first electrode in a second direction, the second electrode extending in the first direction, a first insulating layer on the first and second electrodes, the first insulating layer including an opening in the subarea, a plurality of light-emitting elements located on the first and second electrodes in the emission area, and a second insulating layer on the first insulating layer in the subarea, wherein the first electrode includes a first electrode extension located in the subarea at a first contact hole, the opening overlaps with the first contact hole and is located above the first electrode extension, and the second insulating layer overlaps the opening.

Display device

A display device includes subpixels arranged in a first direction and a second direction, where each of the subpixels includes an emission area and a sub area arranged in the first direction therein, electrodes extending in the first direction across the emission area and the sub area, where the electrodes includes a first electrode, a second electrode spaced apart from the first electrode in the second direction, a third electrode disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and a fourth electrode spaced apart from the third electrode in the second direction with the first electrode interposed therebetween, first light emitting elements disposed on the first electrode and the fourth electrode, and second light emitting elements disposed on the second electrode and the third electrode. A length of the third electrode in the first direction is smaller than a length of the first electrode in the first direction.

A display device includes at least one first and second electrodes extending in a first direction, at least one first and second light emitting elements disposed therebetween, a first contact electrode partially covering the first electrode and contacting a first end of the first light emitting element, a second contact electrode partially covering the second electrode and contacting a third end of the second light emitting element, and a third contact electrode disposed between the first and second contact electrodes and contacting a second end of the first light emitting element and a fourth end of the second light emitting element, in which a distance between the first and second electrodes is greater than a longitudinal length of at least one of the first and second light emitting elements, and the first and second light emitting elements are connected in series between the first and second electrodes.

Display device connecting light emitting elements to first and second contact electrodes via third contact electrode

A display apparatus includes: a substrate including a plurality of pixels; an electrode unit in each of the pixels of the substrate and including: a first electrode having a first outer side having a center of curvature and a curved shape; and a second electrode having a second outer side having a curved shape corresponding to the first outer side and spaced apart from and facing the first electrode; and a plurality of light-emitting elements between the first electrode and the second electrode. The center of curvature of the first electrode is on a peripheral portion of the pixel, and the first outer side of the first electrode faces a center of the pixel.

A display device includes a substrate including a display area and a non-display area adjacent to the display area, a passivation layer disposed on the substrate, a via layer disposed on the passivation layer, sub-pixels including electrodes disposed on the via layer and light emitting elements disposed on the electrodes in the display area, a first bank disposed on the via layer and surrounding the sub-pixels in the display area, a second bank disposed on the via layer and spaced apart from the first bank in the non-display area, a third bank disposed on the via layer and spaced apart from the second bank in the non-display area, and a first valley disposed between the first bank and the second bank in the non-display area and penetrating the via layer and the passivation layer.

A display device may include: a base layer including a display area and a non-display area; and a plurality of pixels provided on the display area, and each including a plurality of sub-pixels. A display device may include a first sub-pixel including a first light emitting element disposed in a first sub-pixel area of a substrate, a second sub-pixel including a second light emitting element disposed in a second sub-pixel area located in a first direction with respect to the first sub-pixel area of the substrate, a bank layer disposed between the first and second sub-pixels, a first color filter pattern disposed on the first sub-pixel and the bank layer, and a second color filter pattern disposed on the second sub-pixel and the bank layer. The first light emitting element may emit light having a first color. The second light emitting element may emit light having a second color. The first color filter pattern and the second color filter pattern may at least partially overlap each other on the bank layer.

Pixel, display device having same and production method therefor

A display device includes: a substrate having a display area and a non-display area; and a pixel in each of a pixel area in the display area. Each of the pixels includes: an insulating layer on the substrate and having an opening; first and second electrodes on the insulating layer and spaced apart from each other; a plurality of light emitting elements in the opening; a first contact electrode electrically connecting one end of the light emitting elements and the first electrode to each other; a second contact electrode electrically connecting another end of the light emitting elements and the second electrode to each other; a first insulating pattern on the first contact electrode; and a second insulating pattern on the second contact electrode. The first insulating pattern and the second insulating pattern are on the same layer and spaced apart from each other.

Display device and method of manufacturing the same

A display device may include a pixel circuit layer. A first electrode and a second electrode may be on the pixel circuit layer and spaced from each other. A first insulating layer may be on the pixel circuit layer, the first electrode, and the second electrode. A conductive pattern may be on the first insulating layer and electrically insulated from the first electrode and the second electrode. The bank may be on the conductive pattern. Display device and method of fabricating the same

Provided are a display device and a manufacturing method thereof. The display device comprises: a substrate; a first electrode and a second electrode disposed on the substrate to be spaced apart from each other; a first insulating layer disposed on the substrate so as to cover at least a portion of the first electrode and the second electrode; and at least one first light emitting element disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, on the first insulating layer. The first insulating layer comprises: a first sub-insulating layer comprising a first portion including a hydrophilic material and a second portion which is a region of the first insulating layer except for the first portion and includes a hydrophobic material; and a second sub-insulating layer disposed below the first sub-insulating layer, and at least a portion of the at least one first light emitting element is disposed on the first portion.

A pixel may include a pixel circuit layer including at least one transistor and a first electrode disposed on a substrate, and a first insulating layer disposed on the at least one transistor and the first electrode, and a display element layer disposed on the pixel circuit layer, the display element layer including a second electrode electrically connected to the at least one transistor, and a plurality of light emitting elements electrically connected to each of the first and second electrodes. The first electrode and the second electrode may be disposed on different layers and may be spaced apart from each other. The plurality of light emitting elements may overlap the first and second electrodes in a plan view and a cross-sectional view.
