A battery module includes a plurality of battery cells and a plurality of cell barriers. Each cell barrier is between adjacent battery cells of the plurality of battery cells and includes at least one flange. The flange has a first flange portion and a second flange portion. The first flange portion has a first sealing edge extending therefrom and overlapping a first lateral side of one of the adjacent battery cells, and the second flange portion has a second sealing edge extending therefrom and overlapping a second lateral side of another of the adjacent battery cells.

A battery pack includes a housing having an opened top and the housing accommodates at least one battery module and a fuse therein, a housing cover that covers the opened top of the housing and the housing cover includes an opening therein that corresponds to a region of the housing that accommodates the fuse, and an opening cover mountable to the opening of the housing cover and a state of the opening cover is changeable between an opened state and a closed state. The opening cover includes an interlock switch on an inner surface of the opening cover and a grip portion on an outer surface of the opening cover, and the grip portion is arranged along a vertical direction with respect to the interlock switch.

A battery module includes a battery array and an end plate. The battery array includes at least two battery cells that are stacked, the battery cells including a terminal surface where an electrode and a vent are exposed and an opposite bottom side. The end plate is disposed at the terminal surface of the stacked battery cells and includes an electrode hole through which the electrode is exposed. a first coupling unit including an alignment protrusion is disposed on one side of the end plate, and a second coupling unit including an accommodation unit is disposed on an opposite side of the end plate. The accommodation unit of the second coupling unit is configured to be coupled with an alignment protrusion of a first coupling unit of an end plate of an adjacent battery module.
