Provided is a high-temperature fuel cell separator. The fuel cell separator includes a fuel gas flow path containing hydrogen, an oxidant gas flow path containing mainly an oxygen component being supplied from an oxygen/nitrogen separator of a system and participating in electrochemical reactions, and a cooling gas flow path containing a nitrogen component to remove heat produced upon power generation of a fuel cell. Such a configuration provides a high-temperature fuel cell separator which is capable of improving efficiency of an overall fuel cell system through improved performance of a fuel cell stack due to increased oxygen partial pressure and which is also capable of improving reliability of the fuel cell stack through inhibition of the occurrence of a high-temperature region resulting from heat produced upon power generation of a fuel cell, by means of a flow of cooling gas containing a nitrogen component.

The solid oxide fuel cell according to the present invention is directed to a support type or self-support type single cell in which four sides or opposite two sides of corners of the single cell are downwardly bent in an inverted U shape and have gas channels in the inner side and/or outer side with a straight line structure or lattice shape structure, so that a separating plate can be used without gas channels or channel support. A smooth flow of a reaction gas is implemented in the directions of the air electrode and the fuel electrode of a single cell.

Disclosed is a molten carbonate fuel cell capable of preventing the leakage of a fuel gas due to deterioration of material by suppressing a high temperature generated at a hot section within a unit cell, thereby improving the reliability thereof. The present invention provides a molten carbonate fuel cell including a plurality of stacked unit cells, and separator platesinterposed between the adjacent unit cells, the respective unit cells having porous fuel electrode platesand, air electrode platesand, and electrolyte platesinterposed between these electrode plates; wherein the separator plateforming a bodyof the unit cellis provided with at a center thereof intake internal manifoldsandarranged at regular intervals for taking in fuel gas R and oxidant gas O towards a center of the body, and at both sides thereof exhaust internal manifoldsandfor exhausting the reacted fuel gas R and the reacted oxidant gas O, as well as forming passages for the fuel gas R ad the oxidant gas O at both sides thereof.
