An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display includes a substrate where OLEDs are formed and an encapsulation member fixed onto the substrate while covering the OLEDs. The encapsulation member includes a photochromic material so that the encapsulation member is colored by external light.

Organic light emitting diode display

A flexible display device is disclosed. In one aspect, the flexible display device includes a display panel having a flat region, a boundary region, and a bending region. The flexible display device also includes a protective structure having a first portion formed under the flat region and a second portion formed under the boundary region. A thickness of the first portion is substantially uniform. A thickness of the second portion decreases along a direction from the flat region toward the bending region.

Flexible display devices

A display device and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. In one aspect, the display device includes a display area configured to display an image and a bending area adjacent to the display area. The display device is bendable along the bending area; a flexible base substrate. A thin film transistor is disposed over the base substrate, and an insulation layer is disposed over the base substrate and covering the thin film transistor. The bending area includes a stress distribution region having opposing end portions and a central portion. Each of the opposing end portions has a width larger than the width of the central portion, and the width of each opposing end increases as a function of distance from the central portion.

Display device and method of manufacturing the same

An organic light emitting display includes a first substrate comprising a major surface, and a pixel array formed over the major surface of the first substrate. The pixel array comprises a plurality of pixels formed over the first substrate and a plurality of spacers arranged over the first substrate. Each pixel comprises a first electrode and an organic emission layer formed over the first electrode. The pixel array provides a plurality of recesses and a plurality of bumps, and the plurality of recesses correspond to the first electrodes of the plurality of pixels and the plurality of bumps corresponds to the plurality of spacers. When viewing the pixel array from the top in a first direction perpendicular to the major surface, each spacer is interposed between two immediately neighboring recesses and a row of spacers are arranged along a first axis, and each recess has a first width taken along the first axis and a second width taken along a second axis parallel to the first axis, the first width being smaller than the second width.

A display device is disclosed. In one aspect, the device includes a first substrate in which an image displaying area and a non-displaying area are formed, a second substrate facing the first substrate, a first electrode formed over the first substrate, an emission layer formed over the first electrode and a second electrode formed over the emission layer. The device further includes a sealing member interposed between the non-displaying area of the first substrate and the second substrate, a reinforcement member interposed between the non-displaying area of the first substrate and the second substrate, the reinforcement member being adjacent to the sealing member and at least one spacer formed adjacent to the reinforcement member.

Display device

A self-emissive display and manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. In one aspect, the device includes a substrate, a first electrode formed over the substrate, and a pixel defining layer (PDL) formed above at least an end portion of the first electrode, wherein the PDL defines a light emission area and a non-emission area. A light-emitting layer is formed over the first electrode in the light emission area and a second electrode is formed over the light-emitting layer. A protrusion is formed in the PDL in an area over the end portion of the first electrode.

Self-emissive display and manufacturing method thereof

An organic light emitting display apparatus includes a polarizer film arranged on a substrate or an encapsulation substrate that faces an image realized by a display unit, wherein the polarizer film includes a plurality of regions having different light transmittances. By using the polarizer film, a luminance difference due to a voltage drop may be compensated for so that a uniform luminance may be obtained when the image is realized.

Embodiments provide an organic light emitting diode display. The display includes a substrate, a pixel electrode formed on the substrate, and an organic emissive layer formed on the pixel electrode. A common electrode is formed on the organic emissive layer. In addition, a crystallized light scattering layer is formed on the common electrode. The crystallized light scattering layer may be a crystallized organic or crystallized inorganic layer having a rough surface in order to effectively scatter light and prevent phenomenon, such as Newton's Rings from occurring in the display.

A flat panel display integrated with a touch screen panel. The connecting patterns, which connect adjacent first sensing cells and adjacent second sensing cells are formed on the same level of the lower surface of the upper substrate of the flat panel display of the same material as metal patterns formed around the edge of the touch screen panel, and by arranging the connecting patterns not to cross each other. The flat panel display panel can also be integrated with a touch screen having improved visibility by forming the touch screen panel on the upper substrate of the flat panel display such that connecting patterns are formed in the regions between the pixels.
