A system comprising a secure computer system, a network-enabled secure end-user device, and a coercion security system. The secure computer system can host secure services and/or sensitive data. The secure end-user device can utilize a secure device architecture that requires biometric authentication of an authorized user for access. The coercion security system can have an application running on the secure end-user device. The coercion security system can be configured to capture and analyze verbal communication proximate to the secure end-user device to address coercion of the authorized user by a nefarious actor to access the secure computer system and/or the secure end-user device. Without coercion of the authorized user, the nefarious actor can be unable to access the secure end-user device and/or the secure computer system. The coercion security system can executes one or more security commands upon the secure end-user device in response to detected coercion.

Utilizing voice biometrics to address coercion of an authorized user of a secure device by a nefarious actor

Systems and methods are provided for authorizing a user to access an access-controlled environment. The system includes a system server platform that communicates with fixed PC's, servers and mobile devices (e.g., smartphones) operated by users. The systems and methods described herein enable a series of operations whereby a user attempting to access an access-controlled environment is prompted to biometrically authenticate using the user's preregistered mobile device. Biometric authentication can include capturing images of the user's biometric features, encoding the features as a biometric identifier, comparing the biometric identifier to a previously generated biometric identifier and determining liveness. In addition, the authentication system can further authorize the user and electronically grant access to the access-controlled environment. In this manner the secure authentication system can, based on biometric authentication, authorize a user's access to devices, online services, physical locations or any networked environment that require user authorization.

System and method for authorizing access to access-controlled environments

Systems and methods are provided for authorizing a user in connection with a transaction at a transaction terminal. The systems and methods described herein enable a series of operations whereby a user using a mobile device can capture a code that uniquely identifies a transaction terminal. In addition the mobile device can also capture a user's biometrics, generate a biometric identifier and biometrically verify the user's identity by comparing the biometric identifier to a previously generated biometric identifier. If the user is biometrically authenticated the mobile device can generate a transaction request including, a user identifier, a mobile device identifier, and the transaction terminal code and transmit the transaction request to a system server. Based on the transaction request, the system server can further authenticate the user and/or approve the requested transaction. If the user is authenticated, the system server can instruct the terminal to advance the financial transaction.

Systems and methods for biometric authentication of transactions

A secure computer system architecture can be comprised of network-enabled end-user devices, services available to the end-user devices, and a biometric authentication gateway. Each service can be provided via one or more appropriately-configured servers meeting a predefined minimum level of computer and network security and/or a blockchain network. The biometric authentication gateway can control access to the services based upon validation of a user's biometric vector against a pre-established biometric vector. The architecture can utilize an improved public key infrastructure (PKI) approach that segments a private encryption key into three parts and distributes the three parts between the end-user device and the biometric authentication gateway. Two of the three parts can be encased within fuzzy vaults based upon the user's biometric vector. Retrieving the key parts from the fuzzy vaults cannot be performed without successful biometric authentication of the user, ensuring that only the user can execute the services.

Computer system security using a biometric authentication gateway for user service access with a divided and distributed private encryption key

A method for mitigating intrusions to a mobile operating system (OS) that begins with the instantiation of secure services and corresponding data in secure service partitions by a secure multivisor running on a mobile device running a secure real-time operating system (RTOS). One of the secure services can be a biometric security service having corresponding biometric data defining a user's identity. The secure multivisor can instantiate a user space partition running a virtual machine with a guest OS having installed client software applications. When the virtual machine, a client software application, or a user requests interaction with the secure RTOS that meets a predefined privilege threshold, the biometric security service can determine the biometric identity of the user. When the determined biometric identity of the user matches a required biometric identity of the interaction, the biometric security service can allow the interaction with the secure RTOS.

Mitigating mobile OS intrusions from user space applications using secure services and biometric identification

Systems and methods are provided for authorizing a user to access an access-controlled environment. The system includes a system server platform that communicates with mobile devices (e.g., smartphones) and on-board vehicle computing devices accessed by users. The embodiments enable a series of operations whereby a user accessing a vehicle is prompted to biometrically authenticate using the user's smartphone or on-board vehicle computer. In addition, the system can further authorize the user and electronically facilitate access to the vehicle as well as perform other authorized operations relating to the use of the vehicle. In addition the vehicle access system integrates with various computing devices and computer-based services accessible to the user. The systems and methods also facilitate active monitoring of the vehicle occupants and environmental conditions using optical sensors and the like so as to enhance security, convenience and safety of the occupants during use of the vehicle.

System and method for facilitating user access to vehicles based on biometric information

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for performing biometrics based user recognition and monitoring based on biometric information captured using wearable monitoring devices. More specifically, the present application provides systems including monitoring devices built into one or more articles of clothing that capture data relating to the wearer of the device and other subjects, such as biometric information, health vitals, environmental information, location data and the like. The systems also include a mobile computing device configured to receive the captured data from the monitoring device and, in conjunction with a distributed biometric authentication and identity assertion platform, perform user recognition based on biometric information captured by the mobile device and/or the monitoring device. The present application also provides an infrastructure for collecting and managing the data collected by the monitoring device in an authenticated/verified manner.

Systems and methods for performing user recognition based on biometric information captured with wearable electronic devices

A method of determining the identity of a subject while the subject is walking or being transported in an essentially straight direction is disclosed, the two dimensional profile of the subject walking or being transported along forming a three dimensional swept volume, without requiring the subject to change direction to avoid any part of the system, comprising acquiring data related to one or more biometrics of the subject with the camera(s), processing the acquired biometrics data, and determining if the acquired biometric data match corresponding biometric data stored in the system, positioning camera(s) and strobed or scanned infrared illuminator(s) above, next to, or below the swept volume. A system for carrying out the method is also disclosed.

Compact biometric acquisition system and method

A method of biometric recognition is provided. Multiple images of the face or other non-iris image and iris of an individual are acquired. If the multiple images are determined to form an expected sequence of images, the face and iris images are associated together. A single camera preferably acquires both the iris and face images by changing at least one of the zoom, position, or dynamic range of the camera. The dynamic range can be adjusted by at least one of adjusting the gain settings of the camera, adjusting the exposure time, and/or adjusting the illuminator brightness. The expected sequence determination can be made by determining if the accumulated motion vectors of the multiple images is consistent with an expected set of motion vectors and/or ensuring that the iris remains in the field of view of all of the multiple images.
