A flexible self-supporting fire barrier material comprising about 0.5 to about 25 weight % of a structural phase and greater than or equal to about 75 weight % to about 99.5 of inorganic heat absorbing compounds dispersed throughout the structural phase, based on a total weight % of the fire barrier material; the structural phase comprising 0.5 to about 10 weight % binder and 0.01 to about 15 weight % fibers, based on the total weight % of the fire barrier material; the inorganic heat absorbing compounds comprising an intumescent compound and an endothermic compound; the material having a density of at least about 0.5 g/cc.

Fire barrier material

A fire barrier protected dynamic joint in a structure, and a method for installing the same. The fire barrier protected dynamic joint includes a flexible sheet of a fire barrier material and a adhesive material for bonding the sheet to an attachment area of the joint.

A flexible fire barrier felt is provided that includes an organic polymeric binder; a phosphorus-containing compound; organic fibers with pendant hydroxyl groups; and a heat absorbing compound.

Flexible fire barrier felt

A coating composition is provided. The coating composition is a curable blend of ethylenically unsaturated polyester and ethylenically unsaturated thermoplastic polymers. The composition is capable of providing a thermoplastic, soluble, sandable, intermediate-stage coating and, when cured, a final stage coating which is unaffected by acetone placed on the final stage coating for two hours at 22.degree. C., has a percent haze value of 15% or less, and is unaffected when subjected to a Wet Print Test.

Radiation-curable thermoplastic coating

Ethylenically unsaturated polyesters are provided. These ethylenically unsaturated polyesters are the reaction product of (a) a polyhydroxy polyester material that is the reaction product of at least one organic dicarboxylic acid, at least one diepoxide, and, optionally, monocarboxylic acid and/or monoepoxide with (b) a polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated compound having a functional group reactive with the hydroxyl groups of the polyhydroxy polyester. This product is particularly useful as a protective coating material.
